I purchased a t2r back in march, it is my first and only t\c. if you have the skill set to build and maintain a r/c car ,I would say get an Xray. parts are easy to find. Nexus is my dealer and they are very reputable people.
And no will NOT be working on the car all the time as stated in a previous post. jmo

Xray 2008(or something similar) if you're on a budget & want to race.
check the diff outdrives for wear, also check the underneath of ANY used carbon chassis for damage/excessive wear

I spend no more time working on my Xrays than my Tamiya's (after the intial rebuild & setup)....apart from replacing belts.
Its a choice on how anal you want to get with maintenance.


Xrays seem alot tougher than some other cars so less things break on crashes.
