Default Turbo 30 Question abouth making it BL

I just got a used Turbo 30 and was wondering if I could just go to a electronic store and buy a new lcd display to make it a BL. It is really hard to read the screen. Has anyone done this or can anyone let me know what I need to do it? I am very good at soldering and if I think it is over my head then I would take it somewhere to have it done.

Thanks

Just send it in to CE and have them upgrade it to the Turbo 35 BL

Upgrade to T35 is like $200 I believe, but a Backlit screen upgrade is only like $35, I had it done to one of mine, and it is nice.

You mean they will upgrade a T 30 to a T 35? Can someone tell me more details?

The upgrade includes new face, backlite, new software for 35amp discharge and actual resistance. Maybe a few other thing, but I am not exactly sure. I know some people sent in their T35BL's and had them upgraded to the new Stealth T35 for $60.

Yeah, it is cosmetic. But people still had it done anyway.

Mostly cosmetic. The case, the wires to the battery are now silicone flex wire ( General Silicone wires ). They also removed the connectors on the wires that go to the power supply. It's now one large wire so you can choose to use connectors, and use the connector of your choice.

Someone had mentioned that they made some small internal changes, but i don't remember the guys at CE mentioning that when i was down there. I may go down there one more sometime in a while, and i'll be sure to ask.

T-35 Stealth Image, rather large. www.shearracing.com/T35Stealth.jpg

...Accually.. The T-35 Stealth is totally new.. err... "April Fools"

The real difference: they painted the case black and made a really, really, really stupid looking faceplate.

Bahh!!! I like the faceplate. I think its a ton better than the "stock" T-35BL Faceplate.

Just keep telling yourself that and everything will be OK.

the new one is better than the "neck-car" one, personally I like the one with the F1 on it the best, from the T-30

they told me over the phone that there are some internal differences when I was inquiring about upgrading from my T-35 to a T-35BL

BTW I have a custom faceplate, looks like graphite
