For the hell of it I measured my x-pats vs my ride tires and that would be almost a 3 tooth pinion drop to get the same rollout.

So I would say YES on lower tooth and maybe even 2 if you were happy where you were at before.

speaking of tires . Arer the Dynamite DYN7960 pre mounts the same as the ride tires ? Sure look like it to me

the Dynamite U-groove is a very similar tire, but it wears really fast....its a good tire, but after 3-6 runs its falling apart.

Travis, where can I get a set of those...and do they have any offset rims

The dynamite tires turned out to be not the same. When we got the tires for the Scale Nats race a couple years ago, they told us they had changed the rubber for the Ride tire.

I got mine at rcmart. ($40 shipped for 2 full sets of rims/tires and took about a week and a half to get.)

The only 24mm rims with offsets I have seen are Tamiya. You want 24mm rims with these tires for sure.

Rob King is working with a local distributor because they will be used at the Chi-town nationals. Per Kevin K's post a few pages ago they have been ordered and when they come in stock more info will be posted. Until then, I have not seen anything local.

Yup, the original revtech is not legal. I think it was just a matter that it was never sent in for approval.
