ETC has already banned it from competition under their umbrella.

I've not had a look at the rules in a while, but FWD certainly used to be allowed, and with no minimum weight at that. I've only ever seen a couple guys try it. I considered the T4F but it came out right as the local track shut down.

Yes the chassis are allowed, but last I looked into it most of the bodies made specifically for the FWD / Fronti class were not on the approved list for USGT.
Example: Protoform Europa 1565 Is not on the USGT list. Also the Bitty HC-F isn't on the approved list.

A Body does not have to be on "the list" to be approved...

"Body Specifications: Refer to body list for currently available/approved bodies. FWD MUST use FWD bodies."
"Scale realism consideration: Bodies intended for the USGT class should conform as closely as possible to the full scale car it represents."
"Body approval is a subjective process"

Up until recently, all the FWD bodies have fallen within these guidelines, without ALL being on "the list"....

A local track can make any mods to the rules they want. ;)

I use my europa and another racer used the zoo racing gorilla. I just went by the guide lines and asked the track.

90% of the tracks use modified Roar rules anyway. Roar never originally outlined rules for brushless classes to begin with let alone body approvals. The way I see USGT is like trying to saddle train a wild horse. They have let so much stuff go that it will be damn near impossible to real it back in. The USGT spec motor is probably the best idea for the class but locally and online ive heard whining of it’s slower than my certified this of I dont want to buy another motor that.....we as racers SUCK. We a decision is made for us we will bitch and complain and then if no decision is made and it’s left to interpretation (sort of like now) we complain of yester year. The top guys locally have been fast with the spec motor and whatever “Roar leagl”🤦🏽‍♂️ Motor they decide to run. USGT is broken down into so many levels in my area that I’m almost tempted to push for a 6ft and over class.....hell everything else has a class🤣🤣🤣🤣. I just want to have fun in the class and work on driving if the playing field is level because the rules are CLEARLY outlined and followed. If you’re wondering what area I’m referring to it’s Northern California.

USGT isn't a ROAR class.

That body would never make it.

The usgt body rules have been changed. After seeing some recent trends, i wanted to let everyone know there won't be much tolerance for stuff like the sherock

to me the spec motor is dumb, ROAR already has extreme motor testing rules, why create more monopolies?

We went to the 'all same tested motor' for an entire series, guess what: the same guys finished in the same order they did before the enforced motor rule.

That said I do wish we had more of a four door GT body oriented class/ruleset

The spec motor will be the same for the foreseeable future, unlike the open motor situation where there is a new hotness every few months.

yet all track seem to follow Roar based rules for equipment....batteries, motors....etc. only one track here in Northern California embraced the actual USGT rules with the spec motor and it didn’t even last a whole season as you have R1 home track and Team Powers home track in surrounding areas.

Roar doesn’t even enforce some of their own rules so bad example to use....lol. The spec motor was great IMO as if gave the whiners what they wanted as they said all the fast guys have hand picked motors. You’ve been there hearing the same bs I heard. Then the spec motor was too slow 😭.

when are you coming out of retirement? F1 has been pretty killer lately. USGT has been a blast as well.

Roar changes the rules to fit the companies that it has friendships with . Example ( the R1 rotor rule ) and most tracks allow motors that aren’t even roar legal . They just have to be built to roar specs in hope that they pass and everyone is allowed to run them.
