Easy solution, rule makers just need to do a clean slate approach with a 1 year notice. Rules that are clear, concise and if the goal is scale, then clearly state what is and isn't allowed. No grey areas, fact based.
Doesn't have to be complicated but does have to be very clear what the mission statement is about. Right now the rules have 1 foot in the scale camp and the other in the "fast as possible, bend the rules" camp.
If the goal is slower, even racing, then the new motor rule is a step in the right direction. If that is in fact the goal, revising the body list for scale and raising the min at might steer this vs in that direction.
If the goal is a TC 2.0 stock class, then get rid of the motor spec and let it devolve as it was going that way anyway.
Oh and that AMG GT3 is 100% on point for the sport of the class, go back and read page 1 of this thread. Killer looking GT car!

Rules are good. Just ban the Zoodiac, Pzero, and Venom bodies.
I can't get on the scale liveries only train, until hobby shops start carrying scale decal sets. I'm not ordering decals from albania or china.
