With the P-Zero, R-Tek, Venom F5 and others being more and more aerodynamic, lower to the ground, lighter, etc, what will we see next? The rules makers of the class didn't want to make a body list at all, but we forced their hand. I love this class and want to see it continue. I just hope that we haven't "jumped the shark". I think that TC bodies already have and we're on the path to 1/12 scale "door stop" irrelevancy again.
Just my opinion. YMMV. |

I'm with you on this one. My club USGT has turned into a P-Zero, R-Tek, Venom class with a Corvette or Caddy in the mix. I personally run a MTS FFv3 FWD car with an HPI Celica body just to have fun. I'm not a big fan of these new hyper car bodies personally.
We just started racing RCGT at our local monday night club race @ quaker where at the same time a street car show goes on, we don't follow usgt rules and run on 26mm tires with real street car bodies. We put on a great show for the crowd :D |

Been saying it for a while now, USGT has completely lost its RCGT roots ... today USGT is no different then 21.5TC

I used to run this when it was RCGT, like 10 years ago

Well after looking at the above pics. I don’t see a problem then. Because it seem the sleek looking designs have been around for a while. |

I've seen the Saleen S7R race at Road Atlanta. I think it was 2002. I believe Mr. Bean wrecked the crap out of his own McLaren F1. I miss these bodies A LOT! I wish that we could still get our hands on them. (Yes, I know that this contradicts my previous post to some).

I think I see the point you're making.. there is a definitely a common theme there for sure.. I believe its called licensed bodies of real, actual SUPER cars by Tamiya and HPI. Yep those used to be the rules.

Wouldn't it be fantastic if licensing companies recognized that these are consumables and not static models when considering their fees?

https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...2e45eb866b.jpg Not sure if this is going to go over well with the Pzero haters, but here we go. Got my new paint job mounted. Wish I could take credit for the work, but I can't. |
The vettes look great! Now just put a # on them and they’ll be a real race car 😉 |
