+1000 since RCGT transitioned into USGT, I've noticed that the paint schemes from TC are being transferred to the USGT cars. Fluorescent paint, flames, zig zag lines.

Let's try to keep the class realistic and paint up some bodies with real sponsor livery!

Hats off to MrLesac for a great looking GT body.

I thought this was "encouraged", which leaves it open to each persons likes. Where I race pretty much all the usgt cars are a single color, i'd much rather see tc inspired paint than 8 white caddy's in the a main.

Most are going for lightweight single color bodies. Mandate tamiya bodies only. Problem solved. Best body sets.

Get out of my line! #SlowMarshall

Love the yellow tinted headlights! I actually thought about doing this for when i paint up a Ford GT in the factory Ecoboost colours.

Eric, would this body work on a standard chassis?

Sounds plausible, I always had a knack for finding the worst places to stuff a corner! #stillasblind

Im not saying that it should be single colour. My personal colour scheme is light blue and white or red and white.

Look at the 1:1 GT cars colour schemes and livery

I agree there, Tamiya still has the best body sets.

The bodies I run usually turn into a conversation piece, since I always run the bodies of cars that I like and they definitely stand out, especially in a field of Cadillac ATS lol.

Tire glue

Are you allowed to glue side walls on the usgt tires for traction rolling?

NutDriver 09-11-2016 02:18 PM

Yes.

Excellent

I agree, that is why I went the route I did.

Win or lose, it looks like a real race car.;)

My apologies to whom ever this car / body belongs to, I'm not singling anyone out, just using this as an example..

When RCGT started out, this paint scheme would have disqualified the owner from competing.

Thankfully, I can still race at my club as all my bodies look similar to this. Otherwise I'd be selling my radio if comes down to spec'ing schemes. I get bodies have aero differences, but Are we afraid that colors are too fast and cheating? I think we need more racers not less. And telling kids they have to paint their car like a racer that existed decades before they born is arcane.
Same with the driver figure in USVTA. I race at 5 clubs. No one runs it. I skipped traveling to Ohio as I didn't have one or a body that was in "Race livery"
