For those the run USGT at home or a big event, what is the usual split time between 17.5 and USGT for your best drivers.

Ex. if your best 17.5 TC driver is running 9.3 top 15 avg and your best USGT driver is running 10.1 top 15 avg the split time would be .8 sec.

Also what body is everyone finding the to be the fastest. I'm running the Cadillac ATS and it's pretty good, lot's of turn in and middle.

At our most recent Gravity Series race here in IL, hot lap for 17.5 was 8.4 (consistent 8.5-8.6) and for USGT it was 8.8 (consistent 9.0-9.2).

For our relatively small, low-to-medium traction carpet track here in KC, I show about a 5.4% difference (10.09 versus 10.64 seconds). At the larger, higher traction track in Omaha, I show about 3.2% difference (11.18 versus 11.54 seconds).

Ferrari 458

I am looking at the Tamiya Ferrari 458 to run in local USGT races. Does anyone use this body and if so how does it perform?

It weighs about the same as a cement truck. I thought it had too much downforce as well.

Is there a 190mm Mustang out there, other than the "M"? You'd think that someone would make one.

It has good aero, sits low and handles well. It's just a little long in the front nose.

Don't want to start a riot or anything on here but I am a co-race director/organizer to an event coming up and had an interesting question asked.

The question was are old sedan/touring car bodies that are no longer on the ROAR approval list ok to run in USGT? Not even sure where to start with this one so just thought I would ask here.

NutDriver 01-25-2016 07:58 AM

IMO, yes. It is MY understanding that as long as it isn't on the ROAR T2 list, is not EFRA-approved for TCs, and is not a prtototype (with the exception of the McAllister DPs), school bus, garbage truck, pickup truck, or golf cart, it's legal.

DARKSIDE 01-25-2016 08:02 AM

thin line IMO
