I airbrushed this body yesterday. Honda NSX from HPI Racing. We've all see these for several years, but most people do something different with theirs. I just went with the original scheme on this. I did a little extra work with the airbrush, but not much. Pretty much stock ready to go. Lots of decals! I'll plan to have it with me at the Southern Nationals for sale.

I've been wanting to try one of the new "Hot Rod GT" bodies that McAllister made for USGT. I really like the looks. I'm sure its not for everyone, but for me, its cool. My USGT number is 144. Made this for the Southern Nats. I think we have to have our numbers on the cars at that event. This is going on my Associated TC6.

Nice job as usual on the Hot Rod. Like the triple digit numbers and the laughing skull is way cool. I wonder if a black panel on the sides would have really made the numbers and the colors pop???

I was able to run the Mcallister MX-Stang body this last weekend, on a large outdoor track. (200+ ft. back straight) I was very happy w/ the balance and handling. Much more stable than the Protoform Cadi.

Between the Daytona Prototype Vette and the MX-Stang. Mcallister FTW.

To me, the vette has a lot of front down force and it took me a bit to find a rear wing, that suited my driving style.

The stang was much more balanced front to rear, using the supplied wing.

I also like the fact that the Mcallister bodies are lighter than most I have used.

Thanks! I might do that on body #2. This is a better picture of the Hot Rod GT in the sunshine. The first photos, it was overcast. The spectrum numbers look good in the sun. I had also thought about doing the next one with more period correct pastel metallic paints. Mix something if I have to. Lime or Coral.

I always enjoy seeing your paint work. As a body manufacturer, any time Indy Hobbies paints one of our bodies, it's a real compliment. When it's your personal body, that's icing on the cake!!!!

Sorry to revive a little older post. Got the FF out last weekend and started playing with battery placement. You are correct, huge difference moving it all the way forward, got the car to actually push a little. Layout was also a bit tighter and ended up changing FDR from a 3.3 to a 3.5 and while lap times didn't get faster, they got significantly more consistent. Fast VTA laps were 12.8 (Myron from the week before) and my best in the FF was 13.5. Didn't see USGT times, but going to assume I am still a good 1.5 sec off the fast guys like before. TC fast lap was 11.3 in comparison. I also haven't driven on-road since January but that's just making excuses. Going out again this coming Saturday to put some more laps down. Between 2 of us, 2 cars each (USGT and TC) we ran 32 battery packs and did 1059 laps. Not a bad practice day hehe.

I'll be honest, the FF car is the most fun I had this summer. It is fast stable and just plain fun to drive. What are you running in the diff? I moved up from 1 million CST to 2.5 CST and it helped big time with off the line acceleration. It gave the car a slight entry push on power but if I let off before the turn, turn the wheels and punch it it pulls it through on the line that i want. It's kind of fun racing 4wd cars and watching the reaction of the drivers when you can turn inside them and pull out as hard as they do. I really wish there was a FWD class...

I was at the Tamiya nationals and in the FF class there were some running shorties pushed forward. Also oil about 50 cst softer in front. Something to try...

I switch between the Riley,Corvette DP's and the new PF Caddy. The Corvette is good for me when traction is low but if the carpet is high bite it puts the car into it and slows it down. The Riley feels pretty good everywhere. The Caddy feels just plain awesome on the ashpalt, going to give it a go on some high bite carpet this weekend.
