I really like the durability of mcallister bodies, they outlasted anything else I had

cool.

I got a mccallister body here that I use, its durable but flexy. In the past for VTA used the parma ones as they were pretty thick and hence were durable. Not the prettiest girl at the dance though lol, but made a great cop car.

The Mcallister Jag is a good choice and is pretty durable.

thats the body I have, your black and white one was what inspired me to get mine :)

I have run both on my T3/12 and both worked well.

Lexas

You guys like this LFA body? I found it to be 1-2 tenths slower than the HPI C6. It seemed too planted with drag. Tried the smaller plastic wing but car was too loose. I'm glad the Vette is faster for me on Ozite.

moparSRT ever try a C6?

If the large wing had too much downforce and the small wing didn't have enough, then the right size wing is somewhere in between. Time to get those scissors busy!

The thing is that the balance f/r was real good with the large poly wing. It had good steering and good rear bite. It just seemed slower to me because of the drag/down force of that body and the scoring backed it up.

I also had mixed feelings about the LFA. Very touring car like in the handling, but seemed a bit sluggish. Maybe some stratigic trimming would have helped.

Might need some setup changes too in addition to trimming the wing to get the car back in balance with that body.

Here is a McAlister body I just finished. Inspired by this years Rolex 24 hr Daytona winner.

Nice, sure wish we could run those in our USGT class here.

theproffesor 10-18-2014 05:12 PM

Where do you run? How is that not legal? What is the rationale behind not allowing it? Even "THE" guys that pretty much stated the class have said as long as its not a wedge type, lmp, wgt, or touring car body its legit.

Oh and john, ose parts should get to you monday.

Sweet! I just painted up a Riley body. I probably will not be able to run it as well as this Daytona at our track either. I'm hoping to throw it out for practice and get some interested people to maybe make another class. Maybe a 17.5 class. :sneaky:
