I'm not sure about fitting on a BD7. Some that have tried to use this body needed the shock tower to stick through the body to fit.

thanks for your information. for both front and rear tower?

I'm going to be trying out the Hpi Porsche 911 gt1 this Friday in usgt. I like the body a lot just looks a little longer then I like, but we'll see.

We run the Porsche 911 GT1 in Spec 175 GT and it works very well.

The rear shock tower.

wondering if there are any good setups for the 6.2 in this class

Hey guys. we are starting a usgt class at our local track and i was wondering about the wheel rule. the tires are 24mm. but a 26mm wheel will fit. so either ok or on 24mm is allowed?

The 24mm spec tires DO NOT work well on 26mm wheels.

The GT1 is a 200mm body... do you run wit 6 hexes... spacers...?

Bummer that the spec tires don't work well on a 26mm wheel, cause they fit on a 26mm wheel just fine.

i will say after trying tires on both 24mm and 26mm wheels... they work much better on the 24mm. the 26mm streches the rubber to much and makes the edge of the tire more square. it was much less consistant in the corners

I have to differ because I've been running on 26mm for a year now and they work better for me then 24mm. I think the 24mm have too much flex along with they aren't very durable. Plus I like the Hpi wheels.

I have found the Gravity 24mm wheels to be brittle, but other brands are available. A search at my LHS has turned up 24mm rims from HPI, Proline, RPM, Tamiya and some other smaller companies. These range from very soft to hard as a rock.

So I just got the chance to look at my car after last weekends run. Im glad to be racing on carpet. If I raced on asphalt, about 5 mm from both sides of the chassis would be gone. I noticed my car had some excessive lean especially in the sweeper, but it was running just fine so I didn't mess with it. Needless to say, I will be looking for a way to tighten the car up without altering the way it feels on the track.

look at your roll centers. moving them up and down will change on how much body roll.

Exotek makes some really nice 24mm wheels in black. Not only are they cool looking they are very durable.
