I tried another sensor wire, that didn't work then I tried a lower timing back down to 10 degrees on the can and no change. If I don't apply brakes its fine but when I do it hesitates but its not consistent. Does anyone have some info about this?

I'm thinking maybe the sensor board is not good?!?

Thanks in advance.
When you check with Eric you might ask about the ESC settings too. We had a similar problem with Hobby Wing Just Stock ESCs. The fix was to run in forward only mode (no reverse). Also make sure you have a capacitor so when you brake the amp draw doesn't cause your ESC to get below its minimum operating voltage and reset (thus causing a delay after braking while the ESC reboots). One sign that this is happening is if you have steering response but no throttle. My Tekin ESC was is notorious for that.

I was just posting this same info. Changed the program on ESC to forward only, no reverse, and that fixed this problem for me on my Vxx. Capacitor bank should be run as well.

Funny that two different ESCs had the same problem and the same fix.

odd ball question here, but are VTA bodies legal in USGT?

with a change over in rules in discussion, to make one of the races I don't think I have time to get my gear fully VTA legal if it changes to USVTA, so I am thinking I could setup my daughter to run in our club USGT class but with her VTA body. Electronics would be legal or at least "allowed" as far as the motor (its a VTA 25.5 so slower) and she could still run and I will have legal tires.

Just curious on the body mainly.

cool thanks for the info. I figure she can beat the heck out of her VTA body there too and get more track time. And for club races I don't think anyone will complain that her car is slower than the leaders lol.

Default Indoor carpet racing in Iowa

I am very excited to let people know that there will be indoor carpet racing in Iowa this winter.
The Dubuque Fairground RC Raceway will be holding on road rc car racing.
The classes will be USVTA, USGT, revo, novice and probably 17.5 TC. If enough cars show up for a different class, they will add it. You can find out more at iowafasttrack.com or dfrcr.com.
The first race is Nov. 9th with doors opening at 9am and racing at 11am.
The address of the track is:
14569 Old Highway Road Dubuque, IA 52002 in the Creative Arts Building.

There are tables, chairs, electricity and restrooms.
Come out and have some fun.

so right now what appear to the common popular bodies for durability that look right offset wise with speedmind wheels using an xray t3 2012 as the chassis?

If my daughter really likes the class, I may pickup a body for her specific to it and have her do her first painting job.

Stay away from Tamiya lightweight bodies if you want durability, but when she is looking to shave off that extra .1 sec... I would recommend the 350z or Camaro body. They cost less then any tamiya body and both work very well and should hold up decent.
