Very nice, I love the supergt bodies! Is your sc430 the lightweight version and if I may ask of you ran it yet how's the performance?

It's just the regular version. I raced it before in 17.5 class. It handles nice. Lots of steering for me.

I have to say im not a fan of the "box art" style paint but the 17.5 setup body looks pretty good. And On the subject of tires am I the only one that wishes Pro-line would bring back touring car tires? the V-rage was the best tire ever!

The Ride tires will get better after 50-100 laps. They start off a bit like drift tires, but are decent once they are broken in.

It's cheap, easy, quite often only needs a one colour spray and everything is included. As long as there's not more than one at the same race meeting. That said, I've just ordered a Tamiya Audi R8 and have designed my own race paint livery based off a traditional scheme. Will post up pics when done.

The other guys running them seemed ok, my tires were brand new this weekend so that could be true in regards to your statement. I did put over 100 laps though.

I think Jorge was the only one with a car that was really dialed in. LOL. Yesterday was my third race day on this set. I thought they were good when they were fresh. Can't wait to get the car back on asphalt to see how they are now.

Man honestly even if my car was dialed in, there was no way in hell I was going to catch him! His car was dialed and his driving was on point, even had a sensor wire pop out sometime during the race. I'll be there in July for Austin, I will have a new body. I think that body I'm running is lacking in steering.

Since next race is austin I'm sure you guys are going to put a beating on us! Whatever the reason is when I run outdoor my setup is always slow.

I have been cleaning the tires with buggy grip or lg1 every run, doping with paragon fxII and heating for 5-10 minutes @ 50C. Tires work great and are still going strong after 3 weekends on asphalt.

I live in Texas, I just throw them in a baggie and sit them in the sun and they stay nice and warm. Same basic tire routine as you, but different stuff Clean with Simple Green and soak with Paragon Black can. I tried several traction compounds but the old reliable Paragon (same stuff I used 30 years ago) seems to work best (for me anyway) on these tires for asphalt. Unfortunately, now I'm very allergic to the stuff so I only use it outside and put the tires in a baggie when I go home.

Also check out Paul L (don't know how to spell is last name) at gravity on how he prepares tires and puts heat cycles in tires before they even hit the road. I think he has a video there and he has described his process in his thread here on RCTECH. He heats a spinning tire by hold a towel on it and then puts traction compound on the tire while its hot so it is absorbed into the pores of the rubber (actually I do its that way is less messy). When you do this 2 or 3 times, there is very little break in needed at least for asphalt.

Track was dialed too...The Panaracer carpet tires that the TC class ran were putting tons of rubber on the track. Those tires rock!

The ride tires worked for me from run 1, I was actually impressed with how well they respond to SXT 3.0. My tire prep was to clean with SXT right after coming off the track then putting on a fresh coat and let the rubber suck it up.

Never heard of Panaracer tires, who sells it besides RSD?

Panaracer is made by panasonic and they also make the best spur gears. Been around sometimes but not as popular here in the states. Rsd switched to panaracer from sorex. It is now the control tire for tc at rsd until further notice of course.

That didn't work for me Jorge, I tried all sorts of setup changes to get steering into the car. I was able to get some back in the A main by throwing in weights up front. I decided earlier in the week to dump the photon and run another chassis for the rest of the series.

I was running the R1. I tested the pf camaro and the mercedes mcallister. Both handled well w/similar laptimes. The mcallister was more consistent.
What chassis were you running?
