What are the chassis demension ruled for this class . max/min track width , wheelbase . thanks
|
We alternate between oval and road course so we are running both directions. The track also changes fairly often. When we get done changing the layout we will vacuum the carpet. Before the racing starts the track will get sprayed. If you get out of the racing line you still get in the dirty part of the track and traction is lost. That pretty much goes for any track.

Here are the rules. |
I think that there is a more recent version of the rules out now.
Check here: http://www.usvintagetransam.com/rules/index.html The USGT rules are on the lower half of the page. |
Hmm........hadn't noticed the USLMP rules at the bottom of the page. Cool!

Edit.....:tire::)

Freshly painted Tamiya GT-R and HPI Lexus IS-F to try out this weekend :nod:. Anyone use the Lexus? I have seen a few GT-Rs. What are the handling tendencies to expect with these vs. HPI 911 GT3?
|
if anybody thinks the spec tire in USGT is not helpful....you should have attended the USVTA Indoor Carpet Nationals in Ft Wayne...
I saw plenty USGT cars on Ride tires and I at least didn't here not one complaint...Not sure if anybody else did, maybe Robk had one?...not sure,, but all the same it was one last thing I had to worry about....just setup and driving was on my mind not what tire to use or buy |

I thought you told me that the softer the tire was the better the grip.

Well for me back when the tires hut the market I bought one set mounted and 3 sets of just tires .
I mounted the tires onto old jaco wheels (the soft wheels) the jaco wheeled tires were horrable for first 5/6 runs but then it was like a light switch.. they r amazing now . Way more traction then the harder spec wheels. But I think the soft wheels allow for a larger setup window which does help with verried traction on fresh layouts |
