Is this qual points or Rocket round? I was pretty sure every other worlds was 3 of 6 qual points.

Its looking like Kevin might be the only North American driver with a good shot at Making the show in 12th scale. We know you can do it man.

Looks to be Rocket round. Also don't forget about Cyrul, he slowed down but so did most of the other drivers.

I just looked up the rules on the Ifmar site and it states best 3 of 6 rounds. I could be wrong but its possible the site that is keeping the stuff posted might just not be sorting by qual points

It states the tq for the round gets 155 and the next fastest gets 153 and so on. Maybe someone in the know will confirm this.

IFMAR Rules are clear.

On carpet, the best two times from six rounds will be added together to determine qualifying positions. On tarmac, it is round by round with scores from each round added together. The best three scores from six rounds will count.

I guess that the scoring system will not give the TQ until all rounds are complete and they can find the best two scores. Unless of course they have decided to change to a rocket-round system at an International Jury meeting on Saturday, and we don't know... HTH

When the even is on carpet like this one the fastest two runs (out of six) are combined (laps and time) to create your qualifying time. Basically, if yo run two 37 lap runs you are locked in. If you run one 37 lapo run, you are pretty safe. But someone who has any 36 lap run can run 37 in the last round and beat any guy with two 36 lap runs. So a guy with two 36 8:00 will be beat buy a guy with a 36 8:13 and a run where he just squeaks by for 37.

If that is the rule. If you are 1g under weight, DQed.

The IFMAR races are the last of the dying breed of races that are run similar to full size racing events. When you don't follow the rules, you are penalized.

The severity of the LiPo DQ was due to the fact that earlier in the day a LiPo fire broke out in the pits. It was emphasized that the batteries must be charged in the sack.

FYI, Juho Levanen was DQed from one round for rear wheels that were too wide and has also lost his best qualifying round due to missing his turn marshalling assignment.

Pretty harsh but the process of following the rules is pretty simple and there are not many complaints when a penalty is given.
