I was reading up on the whole site and it is indeed roar legal.
As far as it being ugly, well I guess we are used to the traditional look of Transmitters.
I actually see it as less bulky and pretty streamlined.
As far as being expensive?
How much do you spend on a good transmitter? now how much is a Spektrum system?
If you wanted to go 2.4, then this new system may actually be cheaper.
And the fact that you can upgrade the software?
I only see positives with this new product,
however it is yet to be thoroughly tested.

I'm running a 3 year old xr-3i radio. The futaba 3pk would be my only choice of the highend radios out there. So i have to plunk down $320 for the radio then try to sell the module and reciever. Then shell out another 100 bucks for the speckrum setup. I just don't like big radios. I wish there was somthing outhere like my old JR xr3i whith dsm. I dont want all that extra stuff I just want to be immune to morons in the pits that turn on their radios.

Another thing that not so great is the size of the transciever. If I'm running 8th scale buggy or even nitro sedan its not a big deal. But in my TC4 my GT-7 and a R-135 reciever wont fit unless I stand up the reciever. If they would come out with a smaller reciever for electric cars I would buy one for sure. Its 50x33x22mm thats a big reciever. My R-135 is thinner and narrower.

Remember the transciever does 2 way communication between your car and controller.... From what I've seen the Spektrum's transciever is a little on the large size also... BTW... once you go to a GUI system running on 2.4ghz the radio you put into the car is no longer a reciever, it's now a transciever.... I'm sure the size will come down as technology advances more..... I have Novak XXL's in all of my cars and I manage to get them to fit....

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am testing the Sensor. It has been working great for me, with no glitching at all. While some may say its expensive, it's a great investment. If you have any questions, I may be able to answer them.

Can you give us a run down on how the features are compared to let's say a 3PK or M8???
I don't just race EP on road... I have my MT's, I have motorcycles and I have 5th scales, etc.... My 3PK does a great job of controlling those vehicles and gives me the settings to make them handle exceptionally... I like the brake mixing for my 5th scale cars and motorcycles that I have both front and rear brakes on.... And so on....

How about some pics of the system as installed in your car ?? Is the radio officially available and shipping ?? Or is the beta testing still ongoing??

Currently, there is only beta testing going on. On the www.nomadio.net site, you can pre-order your Sensor.

I really hope Nomadio makes it. The sheer coolness of the radio, coupled with a LARGE and easy to read screen is undeniable.
If they get the Rx smaller for 1/12th applications, I'll be onboard.
Also, since Nomadio is a licensed defense contractor, they should be around for a very long time. The fact that they do more than R/C gives me confidence as a consumer.
Of course, we have yet to see what Sanwa, Futaba, KO and JR are cooking up on the DSM front.
You can bet they will be releasing DSM radios before the years end.

The Sensor is software based, and most things are probably possible. It's just going to be a matter of whether enough people want something.

I also thought I would let you guys know of that the weight posted on the site is incorrect. The actual weight is 674 g. This is lighter than almost all highend radios. For a comparison in weight, the mx3 weighs about 706 g.
