Interesting mix of manufacturers in the six different qualifying top 10s.

Tamiya, Yokomo, HPI, X Ray, Corally, Associated, Losi.

How many of these will actually have cars in the A?

At least 2 of each of Tamiya Yokomo and HPI are definates, but I'm not too sure about the rest.

Now that all six qualifiers have been completed, surely someone must have worked it out.

I make the top 3 qualifiers: Mark R, Masami and Diasuke.

I worked out the points of the guys who've made 4+ top 10's, and i've got a possible top 9

Marc Rheinard 620
Daisuke Yoshioka 613
Astushi Hara 610
Masami Hirosaka 607
Billy Easton 603
Surikarn 602
Andrew Moore 595
Matt Francis 595
Juho Levanen 580

Next could be Spashett as he've got 3 top10 finishes.

Lifted off from www.tq-racing.com, in turn reported from Mike Myers of Starting Grid. For your information guys.

The young Marc Rheinard wins the first battle of this ISTC World Championship by taking the TQ spot. The best four out of six qualifying rounds were taken according to the IFMAR regulation. Marc has been on form all week in comparison to all other drivers and is definitely superfast, sharp and accurate. He could overtake any other driver and has been consistently running and posting the fastest lap times.

Truly, Marc Rheinard deserved this TQ. The much anticipated Masami Hirosaka was somewhat lacking the pace. Many other big names did not make it into the A-Main. All team Orion drivers seemed to get better runs. In addition to the TQ winner, Atsushi Hara, Surikarn- the current World Champion, Daisuke Yoshioka all made it to the A Main.

As reported earlier, most faster drivers used front “spool” (fixed axle) and it is definitely the faster way of going around this fast track. It takes certain skills to master the use of front spool. The track is getting hotter everyday and would get ‘greasy' during mid day.

Up to the writing of this message, we were still not sure about the top 10 results, but Marc is definitely TQ and that Atsushi Hara, Daisuke Yoshioka, Surikarn would be among the top 5. Masami and Billy Easton should make it into the A- Main but would be somewhere in the lower mid field.
Starting Grid position is crucial in this particular fast track layout.

Just a small correction: not all articles in tq-racing were written by Mike Myers. Unless stated otherwise, all writings were done by tq-racing. We always do mention our sources.

thank you ...

If Adachi is racing, maybe there's another Yokomo on the A Main.
