Hey Guys,
Remember the Neo-Shot or Blast. Seeing is believing right, but at least it made it to the website so we can stop the rumor mill for awhile.

eeyan 04-13-2004 08:35 PM

Oh yes... at least that's good news... all I've been getting lately r/c wise are bad news!!! This should be a change of pace somehow... Hehehe, I can't believe at this age I'm still learning how to count... So far I got Evo I, Evo II, Evo III... and yes... EVO IV soon to follow... :)

So how do you improve this variety? Aluminum bulkheads(ala Barracuda?)... hmm.... just a thought!

Alloy bulkheads would look nice but are a pain to get to for maintanence. Personally, I'd be happy with a fixed drivetrain and maybe thicker alloy suspension arm mounts

The only pictures I know of are pictures of the cash that is about to disappear from my wallet.

F. Alonso 04-13-2004 09:24 PM

Do we know when its going to be released??? I'm assuming of course that it won't be released when its launched.

Tek Nickal 04-13-2004 09:28 PM

All the george washingtons and ben franklins. . . . .

forty6 04-13-2004 09:36 PM

Hopefully they get the drivetrain right this time. If Surikarn uses this for the Worlds and wins, Evo 4 Surikarn Edition for Xmas!:D :D :D

lem2 04-13-2004 09:58 PM

TBevoIV

If you buy it there will come a TBevo5,6,7,8.........

Hope all is good and is better than all its predecessors!
Peace Guys and Happy Racing!

GFXmania 04-13-2004 10:49 PM

EVO 4 is supposedly coming out in July. Probably before IFMAR. Japanese online shop are taking pre-order for this car. They said the released date is end of June or Early July.

Entropy 04-13-2004 11:02 PM

Damn I wet my pants...

Paul_Kultcha 04-13-2004 11:13 PM

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but the TRF415 already seems to be winning more frequently then the EVO III did....?!

Surikarn was champ with the 414 right?

Yup, Surikan ran the 414 in 2002. Such a well balanced, light, and fast car when run with saddle packs.

EVO IV huh? I guess Tamiya is serous about evolving a belt AND a shaft drive car. I just hope the price is under 300 for it.

yep.

Won the YamaYama with a stock EvoIII.

Trashed TITC 2003 with a red EvoIII; later kitted as Surikarn Ltd.

Did TITC 2004 again with the 415; earlier previewed at Reedy Race Bangkok.

A-Ko 04-14-2004 12:35 AM

The EvoIV

One things for sure... At least I don't have to buy a new stickerset for this car.....

futureal 04-14-2004 01:13 AM

My understanding is that Tech Racing is doing R&D for the TRF 41x cars, while Tamiya's R&D is churning out the TB Evo cars, which is why we are seeing two different evolving lines from the same company.

I am also fairly sure that the team drivers have their pick of cars to race, although you will typically see the entire team running the same car at a larger race.

man tamiya releases so many cars so fast... does tamiya still support ta04?

Yep, all the 414s, 415s and evos still use the same TA04 arms and not to mention that the TA04 together with the TB02 are still the best cars u can use in Tamiya Series GT class round the world, with some exceptions in some countries.

GFXmania 04-14-2004 02:32 AM

TA04 is like the TA03 series. Which is their typical production. Tamiya has so many cars in their inventory. Sometimes it is too difficult to remember all the cars.

I wonder which car Surikarn's going to use @ the worlds.... would he risk it with the newer cars E4 or 415 or would he stick to the e3 or even go back to the 414?

Tsubasa Sakai 04-14-2004 04:13 AM

You can pre-order it from Control Centre. It will be available in July.

Surikarn would never run the 414 or evo 3, it would not promote their new cars which they want to sell.

This is starting to annoy me a little now, I wish tamiya would stick with one car for more than a year. releasing 2 per year is way too much. I just really hope they don't abandon the 415 for the worlds.

Anyway, RainbowTen seem to be listing the evo 4 at Y49,800.

Evoracer 04-14-2004 04:49 AM

One thing is for sure....you'll never be bored with available choices from Tamiya. Personally, I love this company. Something for newbies, something for the fun racer, something for the serious racer and always something worth collecting. How many other companies out there have a collectors market like Tamiya. I'll say it again...I love this company!!!

fabolousRC 04-14-2004 05:02 AM

I think 415 development by Tech Racing is going to be the next TA05

I'm sticking to shaft drive though. Belt drive is a pain on dirty parking lot. One small rock ruins the belt. :flaming:

I'll put my bet on The EVO IV at worlds. Isn't Worlsd the end of this month?

John Doucakis 04-14-2004 05:17 AM

end of October. A long time left untill then. End of April are the warm up.

Ozwald Bates 04-14-2004 06:16 AM

At the rate Tamiya is going Surikarn will probably be running the EVO VIII at this years Worlds. :)

teammediocre 04-14-2004 06:25 AM

Heck... I'd like to see him run a different car for each qualifier and choose the fastest for the main... At least he's promoting each and every car that way... hehehe! That would be very very interesting.

weekendracer_uk 04-14-2004 10:53 AM

Where does rainbow ten have it on their site as i dont see it?

" Ah found it on the rc news section :D

Hebiki 04-14-2004 10:55 AM

weekendracer_uk 04-14-2004 10:57 AM

Holmenkollen 04-14-2004 01:54 PM
