Hi, I was wondering were the best place to solder brushes onto a Monster Stock Motor is if I want the most power, thanks.

Some people say straight to the tabs so there is a more direct connection. I just solder to the hood and it seems to work fine.

I solder to the hoods on the opposite side of the spring. this leaves a little more lead for the brush to move freely. I also hold the brush about 1/8 to 1/4 inch from the end you are soldering so it doesn't fill up with solder. The needle nose pliers act as a heat sink.

I quit soldering them and just trap the shunt under the spring above the hoods.
