I dunno, I've been using ceramic balls, haven't tried carbide balls yet, but absolutely can't stand the chrome steel balls. One slip or impact and the chrome starts pitting and gritting up the diff.
But for sure the rings are the most crucial, with a very specific ritual for each new set.

Got the car, now just need to figure out a booster/battery setup. Hopefully, I can hit the rug this week with it.

Well I got good news today...our local track that doesn't have enough traction for pan cars is going to let us spray sugar water on the track one weekend next month as a test to see if we can make pan cars work! So if all goes well we will be back to regular pan car racing soon! Keepin my fingers crossed!

Oh I've been a race director on and off for almost 20 yrs now...I think I can figure it out Use the right mixture of sugar water and you can make just about anything stick. We've even made super smooth concrete work. I use a fruit punch syrup and water mixed 1:1 that I get locally. Works better than grape soda or root beer even.

So far both joe and cory are both running very well. Cory is sitting 7th in WGT and Joe is sitting 8th in WGT with CH10's. Joe said both of his 17.5 and 13.5 CH12's are running really well. His 17.5 is really down on HP but is sitting in the middle of the B main so far. In 13.5 1/12th, he is 13th overall so far if i remember correctly. He is still getting things figured out. Its a tough field of drivers at the birds. All of the classes are stacked with heavy hitters. Good luck to everyone running.

The last time I was out (last weekend) with the RR, the car ran wonderfully (THANKS to some slight pit MANeuvering by Jason!!). Decided to play with black fronts and differing saucing/soak time techniques & grey-white rears. The car was nimble and fast all day but when pushed too hard around the tight corners, the outside rear wanted to lift. I didn't try to get rid of it, just drove it somewhat with a calm aggressiveness The car was working too good and I didn't want to touch it. Ran the same tires all day with slight coning on the fronts. I just swapped them every run. Overall, had a great time in a LOOONG time and putting my CH12 together now. CAN'T WAIT!!

How do you lift the outside rear wheel?
