Mike does excellent work The one for the TC5 is a mandatory have for rubber, all the others are just as nice. They definitely make lipo fitting a ton easier

Exotek for HB Cyclone
I have an Exotek chassis for the HB Cyclone TC. Works great for me running vintage (HPI vintage tires, 21.5 Brushless, LiPo battery) on carpet. I especially like how the battery is secured without the strapping tape going under the chassis. Able to balance my car without adding any extra weight.

He used to do one for the Micro RS4 and one for the M18, and they were the dog's danglies.... REAL nice pieces

Great info guys. I'm not too happy with the stock Xray chassis. Mine came twisted right from the get go and don't want to risk getting another one. I believe Xray either outsourced the chassis work and or used cheaper graphite. Either way, the chassis isn't very good, so I'm looking at options.

That is with the pack as far toward the center as possible.
Plus it sounds like you haven't actually tried it with a TC5 yet.

Mike had some graphite battery retainers for the Mi3 that really helped with weight, may have some for other cars by now.

You may be running a lower Mah lipo pack. With an IP5000 pack but all lightweight electronics (low profile servo, tekin rs, PTX transponder, LW body, and micro receiver) it is still heavy to the battery side and to balance the car you end up overweight.

FWIW, I run a T3 now, with the stock chassis and no problems balancing it and I am well below weight.
