I can answer this one as track owner and track operator and the answer is your making Zero $$$$ I spend more money maintaining the track than making any profit why do I continue operating the track knowing your not making any profit because I love this hobby...

Sometime you make some kind of profit that is when you get a really good turn out. 2 years ago when I open my off-road track I get about 25-30 guys easy every weekend but with the economy on the slamp I get lucky if I get 15 guys to show up

It honestly depends on the circumstances for the amount of money for a race director/ organizer. A small club race track director may not make much money. A large race director/ organizer can make a lot of money. And they should, it is a lot of work that most people can not fathom. I race direct, and have race organized. Its not easy, its not fun. RD'ing nitro races with a cruddy PA system beat up my voice last saturday, and I went without pay (Which should not have not been the case.) It's all about circumstances.

I don't see any problem with Jay asking this question, Scotty does not HAVE to answer .

Me and some other people from AZ are going to come to this race.. Cant wait to take a trip to cali and for iic in september.... I went to iic last year for the first time and all i have to say is it was a great race and pland well.... So for the people talking sh*t about Scotty you need to shut your mouth.... He knows how to plan a race and he knows how to take care of stuff... Things need to be worked out before anything could happen so insted of telling everyone what the plans are and then letting all of us book our stuff and just show up and let the trubble begin he is trying to take care of it befor hand... So everyone needs to calm their balls and let stuff come into play.....

Thanks Scotty for putting on some great raceing and keeping us up to date.....

Thanks,
Nicholas Mitchell

Scotty and crew are doing the best they can. They are sorting out some issues and I'm sure we'll hear something soon.

Reedy Race is an awesome event, I can't wait! Mod for me this year.
