SLC racers,

Thanks for all the info. 90% sure I'll be there. If so I'll be there Friday for practice.

does anyone have any experience with the CEFX car? I was thinking of trying one out but I haven't heard of anyone's experience with the car and that funky front end :p

Hell try buying one in the first place. It's been a over a week (nearly two) since Josh said to expect an email soon (as to when I could get one direct from Halo Hobbies). And before that I've been mucked around for weeks from so called C12 dealers.

From the ones that I have seen they are not too shabby. The front end takes some time to get use to but not overly complex and if you race on a track with hard walls get extra front end parts they seem to break more often then the standard 12th scale stuff aka Associated front ends. All in all its not a bad car at all.

Yokomo had a front end that is similiar to the CEFX on their YRX 1/10 pan car years ago

attached is a photo of it on a unknown YRX12 Variant

yes, infact just finished putting together a carpet car about 2 hours ago.
Sean and Mike from HT are supposed to be there also. Rovik had mentioned he missed running 1/12 on the rug and was going to start if the rug went back in.

heard from MAX?

later

Hello all,
Has anyone been running the Jaco 2-stage tires on asphalt? I haven't seen much mention of them on this thread and was considering trying them.

odpurple, Thank you Sir for the helpful reply to my PM. :)

Hey fellas I'm in the market for a tire truer but don't want to spend the bread for the top-notch Hudy Auto. So what are you guys using? I want something middle of the road- not a cheapie- but definitely something that's precise. Throw some names out... ;) -JB

I bought the Hudy DC one a couple of years ago and it works fine, I just need to use a powersupply to power it and crank it "manually" but it's still top quality.

are you talking about the tires that someone showed a cutaway of awhile back from a big race in Florida? it had a grey colored foam core hidden inside the black foam rubber.

if thats what your talking about....? NOPE, haven't seen them mentioned for sale or even annouced as being a new product available.

jrrc 07-07-2005 11:05 PM

I have the AC version of the one Matt mentioned. Works great. Smaller and cheaper than the full auto model.

JayBee 07-07-2005 11:19 PM

Thanx fellas, I'll check 'em out ;) -JB

Those are the Jaco 2 stage tires, they've been out for a little while now. I have a set but have not tried them yet.
