Associated 3655 flanged front wheel bearing should do the job. They are 1/8 inside and 3/8 outside.

Looks like Stormer has a lot in stock:

I've got some Racers Edge ones. Nothing fancy but seem to be holding up very good.

take care

trying to buy parts without a credit card has proven to be very difficult

does anyone have a good setup that they'd share with a 1/12th rookie?

I would stick to what the manual would say and try that first. Thats what i did for the first time i got the 1/12th and now i changed a few things.

Good bearing at a great price at www.avid.com
I think most of his bearings are between $1.50 to $3.50
He takes paypal and is a racer.
I use them in my buggy and 1/12 scale.
Diff bearings are cheapenough to put a new one in every time.
No connection.....just a satisfied customer

Hi Guys,

I have my RC12L4 coming, and will be here in the next 3 or 4 days.

Is there any gotchas or things to look out for with this car when building the kit? Any tips or tricks to get a little more speed from the car?

I have also ordered some Purple Jaco Fronts and Pink Jaco Rears, but I am undecided on the body to get.

Is a Parma Speed 8 the only way to go, or would something like the CEFX be a better choice?

I will primarily be running on Ozite on an Indoor track, but perhaps on Asphalt Outdoors occasionally.

that avid site is like audio video stuff, i checked out niftech but couldnt tell which bearings i needed, id like to get a set of 4 flanged bearings for the front, some extra bearings for the rear axle, and some axle shims. i looked at every single part on niftech's website and i have no idea what parts im looking at without pictures

Just shoot him an e-mail through the site. If you go to the non-flanged bearing it explains that they have flanged. I couldn't find a part number either.

Tire Suggestions (asphalt surface)

A new indoor asphalt track is opening here in Maryland, and they will have a 1/12th class. I've only raced my CK on carpet, so this will be a new experience for me.

What would be a good foam tire choice for 1/12th asphalt with and without traction compound? I'm not sure that traction compound will be allowed.
