BMI is working on a direct replacement (2.5mm)... same hole pattern and battery slots for the trays... They will also have new pod plates but they will require new top and bottom graphite plates....

Speaking of thick chassis, I just picked up CRC's new option thick/stiff chassis for the T-Fource. This sucker is stiff. It has mounting holes for personal transponders. It also has holes to allow you to adjust the t-bar pivots with the t-bar on the car.

Anyone know where to get teflon tape for the L4 Damper Plate? I searched the net but can't find anything.

Niftech makes teflon tape for that. niftech.com I believe.

sg1 09-06-2004 05:21 PM

Bud's Racing Products has teflon tape also...

savio7 09-06-2004 06:32 PM

sg1/Tempest2000 Thanks. I looked at both websites and neither seem to have teflon tape.

Wonder if it's available through a hardware shop. Seems that the pros put the tape on the damper plate.

Is that teflon tape the same stuff as a chassis protector? Like the sheet that associated has.
Not sure on the part number.

That might work.

savio7 09-06-2004 06:56 PM

No, I think it's different. Amazing how the simplest of things seems to be the hardest to find.

speedxl 09-06-2004 08:12 PM

buds and niftech dont have that tape.I found some it had composite craft which is not in buiss anymore.Try some industrial supplies in your area its a tape that is used for manufacturing lines as a friction surface to stop things from sliding fast. sorry I dont have the exact name. You may want to call associated and see where they get it of go on the 10 scale pancar site and see if they can direct you to the right channels goodluck
