hey guys, Im getting lots of Pro10 action on the new forum, but Im looking for the 12th scale racers to represent too. As much as this is about helping bring back 10th scale pan cars, Id like to see 12th scale cars in big numbers there too!

I have a problem with my T-fource. I hit a plywood barrier, and the chassis sort of chipped around teh body post. CRC uses these little tiny screws for the posts, and it basically ripped through. What should I patch this up with? Should I push the graphite into place and epoxy the edges? The use a larger screw to hold the post?

Thanks

I have one and I like it. I had a 12L3 a long time ago and loved that car. If you like the 12L3, you will like this car.

Is there anything specific that you want to know?

yes, you can use either super glue or epoxy to fix the graphite. you'll want to hold it in place with either a C-clamp or vise grips while it dries. after it is dry, use a 5-40 flathead screw for the front body posts. not only will you have a little bigger contact patch on the graphite, but the screw will thread into the body post much tighter so it doesn't loosen up.

Racers

Rose City Scale Racing is happy to announce that Associated Electrics and Reedy Modifieds have agreed be the Title Sponsor for the Paved On-Road Nationals.
This level of support from a first class manufacturer is greatly appreciated.
In appreciation of this support we are using Reedy motors as handouts for the event.
Associated/Reedy are providing us with a generous amount of prizes that will go to competitors at the Nationals.

Novak Electronics has joined up also. Novak has agreed to subsidize entry fees for the brushless class so the entry fee is $25. Novak will also have 15 or so loaner systems for racers who want to try out the brushless system. There is no charge for use. Brushless competitors will have triple A-mains and controlled practice sessions just like all other classes. The rules for the class will be the same as for sedan. ROAR guidelines for brushless motors will be used for technical inspection.

Loaner systems are first come first served please make a note on you entry that you wish to borrow a system.

use a piece of tinfoil between the clamp and superglue on the graphite shiny side to the glue. it usually doesn't stick as well to the tinfoil as it would to your clamp

RC Paperboy 05-05-2004 05:40 PM

Do you mena to put the clamp right over the hole? or just hold the chassis in the air while you work on it?

odpurple 05-06-2004 10:51 AM

clamp yer hole

He means to clamp it down at the hole. The graphite has de-laminated and you need to squeeze it back together with the glue in there to secure it.
