Default CRC Encore shock to AE 12R5.2?

Hi,

I have purchased a CRC Encore shock (http://www.amainhobbies.com/rc-cars-...ln3290/p152110)
I was trying to replace the one on 12R5.2, however, the ball cap is too short.
Has anyone done this before? did you use a longer ballcap or did you replace the shaft to a longer one or add the adapter?
Thanks.

CRC makes a shaft extender to use with other cars that use a longer shock.

Default Hobbywing 1s esc in Schumacher Atom

Anyone have issues programming these with lcd box? Got brand new esc and box, calibrated transmitter to esc and then plugged in box to change some settings.
All I get is 'connecting esc' on the box display but nothing else. Tried plugging box into pc to check firmware but as far as I can see it's up to date.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Did you disconnect the motor sensor wire?

Yes! Disconnect the sensor from the motor when programming the ESC.

Sadly that has made no difference! Must have a duff box or esc...! Very annoying, only used it for one race meet!

Good thought but I tried that and there was no power to box so I know that's its at least the correct way round..! Contacted LHS who are going to speak to Schumacher in the morning and swap it for a new one I hope

Sounds like different software versions.. Download the newest version from the site for the speedo and the box. It should be fine then

when the box says "connecting to esc" have you hit the "enter" tab? Ive had that before where it needs the button pushed to connect.

Default Program box issue

Yes tried pushing enter when it says connections and nothing happens.
Can I update esc firmware via PCs without going through program box? If so how does esc connect to PCs as it doesn't have a mini Ian port for a lead to plug into....QUOTE=Race19s;14471861]when the box says "connecting to esc" have you hit the "enter" tab? Assuming that you're on the v3.1 1s esc.
There is a cable that comes with your box.
Plus that into the box taking note of the +/-/s
The other end goes in the esc portion that also powers the fan. (has letters prg marked)
Not the wire that goes to the receiver.
Now power the esc. Press the on button
It should say connecting esc and something else.
Nothing more than 15 secs to connect.

Hope that helps.
