Green is somewhere between a Yellow and a Pink, Blue is a similar compound but harder, like a Magenta/Yellow. I found an excerpt that Red is an extremely hard compound, like 55 shore, and I would presume Orange is like the old Orange that you could get in touring car tires, like 45 shore natural rubber.

Personally, I found that the CRC Blue's work great for a rear tire.

I wish I could find a set of Red's to try on the front of my car.

I've seen Blu and Double Blu fronts but haven't seen any info on the Double Blu.

Where can we find more information on the new Green(e), Blu(e), DBL Blu(e), Red and Orange compounds? I've checked the BSR, CRC and Pro One websites and nothing. Do we need to know someone, who knows someone, who can give us this info? :weird:

It's a secret Shhhhh! :sneaky:

Mostly the basics:
The durometer ratings of the different compounds.
The rubbers characteristics; high rubber content, lower rubber content.
When how do they stack up to the other tire families? Are they similar to the Yellow, Grey and Blacks or are they more like the Pink, Magenta, Purple tires?

After that:

Under what conditions do they work best? What are their handling characteristics? When would you want to run a Yellow vs. Pink vs. Green(e)?

Now I'm getting greedy. :D:sneaky:

Durometer ratings don't matter like Steve said. Just know this....

Green rear is softer than blue rear
Blue front is softer than dbl blue front
Orange is softer than red rear

Simple break down results may vary......
Green makes your car turn more than blue rear
Dbl blue front turns less than blue front
Orange turns more than red and both of these are best for asphalt. Orange may work on carpet but it's an odd occurrence.

Popular class compound break down...
17.5 green or blue rear with blk, blue, or dbl blue ft
13.5 green or blue rear with blue, magenta/pink, or dbl blue ft
mod green or blue rear with blue, pink/magenta ft

Don't try to compare different groups of foam to one another, it only creates confusion. There are three groups of foam white, pink, and now blue. Leave it simple.

Orange has nothing to do with tc foam.

If you want to try red on the front of your car run Dbl blue. You will not find red fronts.

It also helps if you re-read other pages of this thread or at the very least read more than the last page.

http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...orum-2772.html

read a few pages before or a few after there is some good stuff.

Now we just got to figure out the rim color. Do we run white or black. 4 spoke or 3, flex or no flex.:D:ha::ha::ha:

1/12th scale got to love it! We need to make a road trip soon. I need my fix.

Team Purple is a good tire. It matches well with Blue rears in Super Stock and even Mod.

I'll risk a public correction and say that Team Purple is actually in the Pink family and is a Lilac-ish 37 or 38 shore compound. Harder than Magenta.

Question about BSR.
Does new Black rear wheel from BSR have off set? And what is the diameter of front and rear wheel? (Not tire, wheel itself)
Also is it acetone safe flex material?

Team purple on the front is really easy to drive in mod, yes, but it just doesn't have the steering to be on pace. I think blue or magenta fronts will always be a couple tenths faster than the team purples, if not more.

Team purple/green might be better, especially for super stock, but I think magenta or blue is still a better front tire choice in nearly all situations.

I have limited experience racing on carpet and was wondering why the car rear would ''wiggle'' under hard acceleration coming on to the straight?

Side springs too soft? Tube lube too thin?

Current side spring is Yokomo R12-21SS and tube lube is CRC 10K.

The grip and handling is there, it's just had a wiggle, wiggle.

Not this kind of wiggle, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiP14ED28CA.
