Futaba 9602 or 9650, JR 3550 or 3650, KO 949, Airtronics 94145
Any of these will work well.

I nominate this post to be a sticky for the ever repeated "which servo is good for 12th scale?"

edit- OD, you coming to stockton today?

Airtronics has a new digital that I have been using for a while now...the 94761. Its fast, high torque and smaller than any other 1/12th servo.

What servo saver are you using for it? Does it use standard servo savers or what? Is that about the same size as the KO 3014 servo?

Also, I assume since it's so small you've mounted it flat vs angled?

I also found these looking around...opinions?

Hello,
Can somebody explain to me the right way to install the IRS kingpin with the nut. I’m nut sure how tight to make it? It's going on a CRC car.

Thanks
Mark

It depends partially on what springs you have installed.
I have .20 springs and the nut is on so that you can just barely see the kingpin
showing. The nut is on the top side also, and, I have had to compress the nut into the eyelet so that it would seat to the top of the ball. It takes some trial & error until you are able to spin the tire without it rubbing on the kingpin or the nut but they work well!!!! And no more clips!!!

I'm running .24 springs and you can see two threads after the nut. Does that seem right or too tight?

Thanks
Mark
