rc nitro, I have always ran the P-35 and I have tried the Parma Speed 8 it is a good body, but it almost makes the car feel too planted and it feels like it makes the car scrub speed. Its a better body if you running modified than stock. They are both good give them both a try and see which one you like better. I am currently trying the newer Protoform Speed 8, it seems to drive very similar to the P-35.

Fluffywilde... you're gona haft'ta let me test drive that car when we get the carpet down at Competition Hobbies, I'd like to see if that car handles better than the Assoc. car that I currently have.

On a side note... 1/12 scale is a blast, yes, no.

Later,
Eric

Hey, what bodies do they have out there? Which one are you running?

Avink1 10-22-2002 04:01 PM

rc nitro, i forgot to mention that i use the reactive caster blocks, i never use the flat ones but you may not like the reactive ones.

Avink1: I wanted the P35 body, but I was unable to locate one. All they had was the speed 8 body. I got the parma instead of the protoform that I ordered. I figured for a starting body that would work. I will get the track owner to order me a new P35 for later on. Thanks for the feedback!

Reactive caster?? Mine was an oval car. The only blocks I have are the 10 degree ones that were on the car, #8407. I even have the oval 3 shock setup not the upper damper. Not sure if this is the right way to go yet..........
I need to mount the ESC tonight and build some 4 cell packs. Then I can setup the car.

Hi guys, am I running great on a Stock 23T with 23t pinions and 96t 64pitch spurs?
Really appreciate if ya guys will help me! Thanx.

RC Nitro 10-23-2002 08:29 AM

avink1: What do the damper tubes you mention do? I that like the 3 shock oval setup? I have no instructions so I do not know how to adjust the shocks. They have kit oil, 40 wt??, and silver springs. I did order a blue for the front one. The online instructons make no mention of how to adjust the shock sans 1/16 up on the adjusting nut.
Thanks.

Hi all,
Haven't touched my 12th scale in a while (constant touring car racing), and there's this outlaw carpet event coming up (stuff like brushless allowed  ). The rules is 6 or 4 cells, with 8 minutes heats/mains.

My packs for my 12th scale are 6 cells, unmatched HVs. Could you guys suggest a suitable motor and rollout to run with this configuration that will last for 8 minutes?

Thank you!

Regards,
Alvin

Oh here's a pic of my car:

Any comments on the new "Granite" tires????

Jimmyd 10-24-2002 04:35 AM

Racing in this insane outlaw 1/12 race. I am seriously thinking that I need nothing less than a 5T brushless with six cells to be at least competitive. Maybe I need to gear it 3:1 and use some 3300cells to make runtime. Only problem is training my eye to follow the car.:D

dude 5t brushless in a 1/12 scale is trying to set a land speed record. can you say no blinking :tire:
