Default Problem with motor not working as it should!

hey all!

I have a Team Orion Race Spec ESC and a Speedpassion V3.0 4,5 motor running with lipo for the first time.

I just bought lipo and mailed team orion about lipo and they said its fine to just stick it in :P

I did but heres the problem. My engine wont go as it should do. if i spin the spur gear the motor moves when i give throttle. but if it stands still it wont move.

So my question is, what can be wrong?

i have checked the senor cabel and connectors and they are fine.

Any ideas?

THANKS!

The behavior you're observing is a classic "broken sensor wire" symptom. Either the sensor wire, sensor board in the motor, or the ESC is bad (or misconfigured).

Does the ESC have any indication that it sees a signal from the sensor? On the Tekin RS, if you turn the rotor by hand, three LEDs will light up in succession, one for the pulse from each of the three sensors. Can you do a test like this on the Orion ESC? If not, can you try a different sensor wire? A different motor?
Does the motor/sensor wire work OK with a different ESC?

Is the ESC setup for a sensored motor?
