just got my U2999 Race Shock Seal Rebuild Pack today....i notice that there are extra 4 blue o-ring. does any one know where should i install the 4 blue o-ring? thanks.

They are actually for the Off Road Car. All other parts are the same, so i guess it's easier for them to have just one pt number and send out both types of seal. In theory there is no reason why you can't use that seal in touring car, i'm not sure how it would be - as i haven't ever tried it!

they work well if you add some soft shims under the cap (i use the teflon motor shims) to get the correct compression. something like 3 or 4 of them. when this is done, the resultant seal has lower friction than the standard clear orings. it's a bit of a pain and probably only useful in a pinch.

We're in Chicago and we recently bought an area racer's Mi3. The front belt needs to be replaced. We tried using a Corally 171t belt but it seems to be too snug.
Where's the most efficient place for us here in Chicago to get Schumacher parts quickly? it seems most of the shops around town here aren't stocking common parts.

As long as the belt fits the pullies (pitch) just rotate the eccentrics for the diff. Rotate forward if the diff is in the low position, or back if it's in the high position.

I finally got my Mi3.5 running and it looks promising. I was trying to remove the wheel hexs to do some maintenance and those suckers are on the axels very tight. Any hints on removing them?

If mine are on there real tight I just gently pry them off with a small flat tip, or xacto blade

I tried to pry them off but they are really tight. I took the steering knuckle off the car and tried to use a larger flat blade screwdriver but didn't have any sucess.

If you have an old pair of curved body scizzors that you don't mind risking the blades on, those make a great hex removal tool
