The Zeros have landed in Australia , with my kit coming tomorrow.
So the Aus. Post contractor had better be watching for me , i'll be ready to pounce as soon as I see the white van !!
I can see a late night coming up tomorrow, racing Friday and more building on saturday....

My Zero landed an hour ago. The box art and manual look quite impressive.
The bags are all numbered clearly and the finish of the contents looks good indeed
A crying shame I have to work, as I'm itching to get started with the build...
Watch this space !!!

Apologies for the poor quality phone pics. The lighting in my garage isn't all that great

To start with, the first impressions are great !
The slim box the kit arrived in was surprisingly small, compared to other kits i've had.The box art and the manual both present quite attractively and professional looking.
The manual is a little scant as far as text and building tips, but the illustrations are quite nice
Opening the labelled bags , you find some sexy anodized parts, cleanly moulded plastic parts. The fasteners surprised me with excellent fit with my hex drivers. A good sign of things to come .
I sealed the perimeter of the decks, shock towers and front bumper reinforcement plate with c.a glue.
Once again, the finish is great, very accurate indeed. Further proof of this , was when I mounted the bulkheads....every screw lined up perfectly
I built the diff, spool and layshaft, mounting them to the bulkheads and once again, no hand fitting / finishing required.
The suspension went together well, with no binding whatsoever......
