Hey Paul,

I was wondering if you could help me figure out the gearing i should be around when running a Nemesis 13.5. The chassis i am using is a 009 Foam spec with a FDR of 1.7. And im using a LRP SPX ESC.

The help would be very appreciated.

Hi Chad. if it were me i would start at around a 100/32 with your speedo on power profile 7. check the speedo and motor temps and go from their. if you run it on profile 4 you can gear it 100/34or35 and again check the temps.

I hate saying this but i must be honest with you and say, that if your going to be competing against some of the new style speedo's (Tekin, Advanced, Mamba) it would be far fetched to think that you will have compairible power.

Hey Paul.
You seem to use the 6 degree front hubs alot on tighter tracks and the 4 degree on more wide open tracks.
Why do you use the 6 degree hubs on a tight track?

And yeah, the new Tekin software is ridiculous...

Hi Paul,

I just bought the aluminum shocks and have been trying to bleed them to get less rebound. I drilled a little larger hole in the cap so more oil can come out but still cant get less than 70% rebound.

Any help would be much appreciated or should I just stick with the plastic shocks ?

Hi Paul,

saw your reply on using aluminium shocks on a T3.

You say you use 700 front but with which pistons?
The alu shocks come with a choice of 1.1,1.2 or 1.3 pistons.
We are currently using 1.2 with 400 oil.

Hey Paul,

Just gotta say man your skills behind the wheel are sick and congrats on the wins this year....

My question is when running rubber on carpet do you run any drag brake or does it primarily depend on track layout or size of track or do you just not run it at all?

Hi Dave, i now use primarily 6deg blocks. when the bite is low and the car is loose i will sometimes use 4's but i like to run 6's when i can. Thanks

If you want very little rebound, drill a small hole in the plastic cap, not the aluminum, this will vent the chamber above the bladder and allow the bladder to flex with more ease resulting in less natural rebound without having to bleed lots of oil out.

yes i do run drag brake, i dont like to use a ton of push brake so i run a good amount of drag brake (3or4 on my lrp) then feather the push brake on some of the harder breaking corners. but i run the push brake almost like a E-brake its set to 100% so the tires lock up if the brakes are even touched, but that way their is not a large range of motion atall.
the only downfall with that is that when i get nervious i brakecheck on accident a lot. and it dosent work for 12th scale very well atall.

He has a few of them posted on http://forum.teamxray.com/xsheets.php for just about every car he's touched. You may have to look at a couple of them to find the carpet vs asphalt, but they are there. Maybe the last IIC setup.
