I did not start it. a long time ago I saw Masami's car with a very long link on it and his car did some really funky stuff with it on. so i set out to test with it and figure out why. i can still always watch and tell when the YOK guys do it, (normally Naito) BC it has a weird look going around the track with their style of set up. Im sure my car does sometimes also.

Hey Paul
Chris from Jackson RC, we hosted an Xray challenge in 09 that u attended. We are also hosting the ROAR asphalt nats this summer 2011. Hope you can make it out again. Anyway here is my question What are some changes you make on the rug as traction comes up to free the car up a bit???
Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris, pretty sure ill be out for the nats!.

normally the car will start pushing when the bite comes up. I first start putting more front camber in, up to 3deg in the extreme. then i will start notching the ackermann post forward (longer), once i exaust that i will take some rear camber out, down to 1deg in the extreme. by then it should steer, if not i will shorten the rear wheelbase 1mm, maybe moove the rear wingforward a bit. by now my car is spinning out. lol

hope that helps

I do run them in the front, i use the 50's (a bit more steering) but the 52's are much easier on the outdrives with the 2.25mms front end spacing like i run. The 50s are close to hanging out of the outdrives and will break more easily.

Do you always run them? Any reason not to at certain tracks or conditions? And yeah I went back to 52 fronts so I can use the plastic spool cups lol I wish xray had some longer plastic outdrives or something besides the metal ones with diff blades that worked

It is a long front camber link that is mounted to the backside of the lower set of holes used to hold on the front shock tower. when using the link we will thread a ball stud in to the backside and run the ball cup to that.

with the T3 i always use the 50's but with the 2011 i will be testing the 52's again.

Dont mean to product drop (i paid full price for my sets) - If you buy the flying fox outdrives for the 50mm ecs the blade breaking issues will go away as the outdrive is longer (and beefcake).
