Default Corally and Orion shutting down?

One of my local shops told me today that Orion and Corally are no longer available. Orion is switching everything over to Peak racing and their stock will be unavailable until then.
Corally has gone bankrupt according to what they have told.

This doesn't mean a whole heck of a lot for the Orion product if it's just a switch to a new name but with the Corally thing, if they are getting the correct info, what does this mean with Jack?

Anyone have anything solid or are they being fed with wrong info?

i dont know anything about this, but i mean...they just came out with the phi 09. why spend a ton of money in research for a new car if you know youre going bankrupt?

(i hope this isnt true - i just got myself a phi...)

Although Peak Racing is coming back, Team Orion is by no means closing the doors. If anything, they will be getting quite a bit larger especially in the USA.

Well Orion just signed Jilles the other day so I doubt it, and Corally are still pumping out option parts for their brand new PHI 09 so I doubt that too.

More than lilely it could be a shop that perhaps may have it's nose out of joint due to a supply issue or being rejected on supply

Gotta love this hobby industry, more rumours than there are in any other facet of life

Last I read in one of the Kyosho threads/forums was that Orion had been sold to Horizon and that Kyosho was going to bring Peak back(which they also own) to supply the factory drivers.

I don't know how much truth there is in that though. I do know that all the Kyosho factory drivers will eventually be switching to Peak electronics. Several have confirmed it in various threads.

I don't see how Corally could ever go out of business considering how much their parts are! So I call BS

Hey, Guys.

No, Corally is not going out of business nor are they bankrupt! They (Corally International) are celebrating their 25th year of operations this year. They are a mainstay in the industry, have always had great service and quality and I deal with them on a regular basis as recently as today.

Now time to go retrieve today's shipment!

I suspect the issue with availability has more to do with your LHS than it does anything else IMO.

Phil

What I am being told is that the product is no longer available from their distributers. All of Orion's product is on discontinued, as is Corrally's. I just want to be able to get my batteries and Jack still, that's all.

Sounds like the distributor got tired of waiting for product to be available and dropped the Corally product lines. I know our LHS has huge issues with keeping Jack in stock as the supply chain for it is always hosed up.

Sounds like the distributor discontinued (stopped carrying) the items. Not that Orion or Corally did. The LHS needs to find a new distributor that carries those products.
