Yes it is a RCDevil PC10H3X german modified pro10. It uses front springs/dampers (Associated 1/18 size) for outdoor asphalt tracks. I am using a Speedpassion 7.5T motor with it by now. In Germany they usually run them with 5 or 6 Delta motors. This car is very very fast!!! It uses Corally 10SL parts, Tamiya TRF central damper, RPM rod ends...

You are correct, the lenght of the touringcar shock might originally be too short. To remedy that I used a longshanks RPM ballcups and cut it to size. That way you have enough length for pod droop and spring tension. It can take a little time of handfitting and cutting to see how much you cut off for the best feeling in poddroop and spring tension.

If you think the front end is cool on the RCDevil, you should see the rear. I've had one in my hands and it's totally different. Very neat.

I have looked in the manual but it is not that clear for me how to change front ride height.

You change front ride height changing the front dampers preload just as you do with a touring car.
With two screws inserted into two holes at the front carbon bar you change the front downtops.
Very easy and clever.

Sounds easy indeed. So just to be sure...small tires and 6-7mm front ride height is not a problem?

Using front dampers/preload system it should not be a problem at all, I am using Xeed tires and I have at this moment 5,5 mm front ride height with a front tire diameter of 59 mm (practically new Xceed tire) and changing preload can make the front axle to touch the ground so there is space enough...
Without wheels:
Width front: 220 mm
Width rear: 230 mm
Wheelbase: 269 mm
With Xceed wheels on it comparing with my Corally 10SL 235 mm with Corally tires it seems some mm (1-2 mm not more) narrower than the Corally rear and some mm wider the Rcdevil at the front, but I think the reason are the Corally tires...

Hi roko, It should be slightly different.
If you can set your ride height at 10-11mm with your 59mm front tires then i know that it is possible to use 6-7mm ride height with 55mm tires.

My Tamiya touring ride height gauge is max 8 mm and with preload at max you get more about 10 mm.
Anyway this is pointless at all I think. Can you explain me your interest in this?
Recommend fonr ride height at the manual is about +- 6 mm and 6.5 at the rear. Enough for me.

It isn't pointless to me. I have an old corally c10 and 6+ mm ride height at the back is not possible with small tires. With small tires ride height will be decreased as the axle can't get low enough in the pod to raise the chassis.
That is way i wonderd if and how it was with the rc devil front end that is all . Thanks for clearing that up. It is a good car.

Yes, but you are asking about front axle. Rear axle you donīt need to use different hub plastics even. You control it with only 2 allen screws also.
For me this car is the best ever pro 10 car made. i also have a Corally 10SL and this is weaker at the front, very good for 10.5T motors but not modified motors. I think VIP performance/ Corally MIX Germany makes a carbon piece to reinforce that part just for this . I am sure you can get 5-6 mm height at the front with less tire front diameter.

lol yeah i know but it bugged me that i could not set the ride height at the back at 6mm with say 54-55mm tires.
With 55mm tires the maximum i can do is 5mm ride height or so. And it will just decrease ride height when the tires go smaller. With 53mm diameter my mximum ride height is around 2,5 or 3mm.
I always want to be able to drive my tires to the rim. With the old corally i can't do that at the back.
With that thought i wonderd how the front end of the rc devil was and if i could use 54mm tires while still retaining 6mm or so ride height.
