Hello Pro10noob, Iīm from Barcelona in Spain. Here we are some 6-7 guys using pro10/WGT and race at AMSA track in Barcelona city. Touring cars are 15-20 people... Most of us use 7.5T motors with 235 mm chassis, some of them with 200 mm , i think is too much power... More chassis are CRC Calandras Gen-X 10 and Associated RC10R5. One of us has one Stranahan modified CRC.

I drive a Corally 10SL 235 mm with 10.5 T without turbo mode and I do better times with this. Also have a RCdevil PC10H3X 235 mmbut have used it very little by now.

I think all of us running same kind of motor and ESC will be a good idea but we are not too much and not know if limiting with some rules will be good for the category or will ruin it.

Aha..Ok then.
I thought you where German because you are also on Moosi-masters
If you have the time and are willing you should drop by at the Dutchs circuits when the Le-mans series are there.
200MM and 235MM.
We dutchies run the 235MM with 10.5 motors and the WGT class with 1S 10.5 or 2S with 17.5.
When there arn't enough 200 or 235MM cars we put them together and run them all with 2S 10.5.
Lots of fun from what i have heard.
Going to join them tis year 2 as i only drove my Pro10 at our local track.

regards Roy

Yes it would be good for your RC10L.
Over here we use these kind of motors with 2S lipo in the 235MM Pro10 class and on the big tracks reach a speed of about 100KM/H.

Thanks a lot Roy!

I have seen a video with some pro10's on your track. Nice technical track. Traction doesn't seem to be all too high or was that just beginning of the season what i have seen? (also don't know how the setup skills are from the drivers, touchy subject maybe) 10.5t seems indeed to be more then enough from what i have seen anyway.

How does the stranahan crc do?

Hi again, the track is very technical and curvy. This year won the seasson one Team Associated RC10R5 200 mm over the Stranahan 235 mm!!!

Grip is really a problem the first lipos, these cars need a very clean track to work properly. With a dusty track they are very difficult to drive. It would be solved if more people go training with the cars. We usually need to use Coca-Cola or sugar + water to race.

Some years ago (not too much 3 or 4 years) there were more people driving pro10 here. Now we are only 6 or 7. Most people drive 4WD tourings. Next year I will drive my TRF touring car for sure. TCīs are more adaptable to dusty and low grip situations (4WD+rubber tires)

Itīs a pity because I really like the hardcore rc pancar concept.

Talking about pro10 caped tires. Are they good in low grip situations?

Do you also use additive with them?

Perhaps they would help in our track.. but I have never seem them here.

@Rosokam....When using traction fluids like Jack the gripper, let is soak in about 20 to 30 minutes, whipe the tires clean and apply sunlotion factor 50.
Let that soak in for another 20 to 30 minutes, whipe the tires clean(with paper cloth) and then go racing.
Our track is when not used enough also slippery and then i use the above method and grip is fairly good.
I did this with Corally Yellow rear tires(i know they are for carpet and i didn't have anything else) but it worked.
Perhaps it is something to try on your track instead of sugar water or coca-cola?

regards Roy

Indeed suntan lotion seems to work really good on dusty circuits. Instead of whiping the traction compound of before aplying the suntan lotion you can also put the suntan lotion ontop and work it in the tires with the traction compound still in the tires.

Indeed something i really would try out on the circuit.

A point to make is that not all traction compounds work equally well on all tracks. On one track we figured out that Corally Asphalt jack works best even though it is made for rubber tc tires and on another track mobers speedtech liquid etc etc. It can make a world of difference from going to zero traction to reasonable or good traction. (own experience)

We do the first step , 20 min CS electronic High grip additive/Robitronic/Corally the Gripper/Speedtech additive and clean 5 min before race, we donīt do second step with sun lotion.

The problem is we have to run in groups sharing or times with touring cars, usually we run before them because we are little people. We only have 20 minutes to prepare additives so, sun lotion is not a solution by now.

Perhaps capped tires should be, I donīt know.

I use every run a different set of tire. No hastle with ride height and the tires/car will stay more consistent throughout the day. The tires will last longer as well then when you would use the same set over and over again. (don't know if you are doing the same as me)

This way you can prepare the tires one houre before the start and you will have time to put suntan lotion on.

It seems a lot of work but when doing it like this it is really less work and cheaper in the long run.

I must admit that 20 minutes between every heat is not really user friendly. Even tc drivers overehere can't make that with charging lipo's and preparing their tires?

Youre tc buddies are not willing to change places so youre group doesn't have to start first?

ps:
i have read that someone in south america or something used capped tires with there pro10's and it seemed to work for them but they are really expensive and normaly only run on ovals where they don't have to slow down to a crawl in a turn and accelerate after that.

No way we can run after touring guys. In a democracy majority rule...

One hour before means waking up at 6:00 AM!!!

I have proved to apply additive at home and to get the tires ready for the race the night before racing but I think this makes the tires softer with time and unusable...
