ALL NEW 1/12th On-Road Body by PROTOform
PROTOform “AMR-12” #1611 1/12th On-Road Racebody
The ever popular 1/12th On-Road class is definitely a favorite with rc racers and enthusiasts the world over. It’s continued to evolve and grow in recent years, much to the delight of many. Protoform has a long history of designing winning bodies for the ultra quick and nimble 1/12th On-Road class – with numerous ROAR Nationals, US Indoor Champs, SnowBirds Nationals as well as IFMAR WORLD’s titles on its resume. The all new AMR-12 racebody will prove to be a step forward, in appearance and speed.
On Oct 1st 2009 there will be new ERFA/BRCA body rules that will come into effect, so a “clean sheet” type design was required by Protoform in an effort to fully comply. The AMR-12 had been exhaustively tested in preparation for these rule changes and the body has actually shown an increase in performance over the “old format” type racebodies. It’s made to fit all the popular 1/12th chassis with design considerations built in to accommodate the larger brushless motors and lead wires.
This semi-realistic body is pulled in .020 lexan and has a protective film on it.
Ready to ship at this time, it’s just in time to start practicing for the IIC Race in Vegas and the US Indoor Champs in Cleveland. Don’t be left behind!
FEATURES:
Contemporary LMP styling with slightly larger cockpit
Fits all EFRA, BRCA, ROAR body rule requirements
173mm wide @ front w/openings
173mm wide @ rear w/openings
55mm high @ top of roof
65mm spoiler height

Tech Adept
Wow, nice body. Looks like it has a lot of downforce (especially in the back).
@Daleepp: I'm trying to build my own vacuum forming machine. Do you use positiv or negativ forms? What material do you use to build the forms?

I think that the real question that we should ask Dale is; Why is the diff nut on the left side of your car?

I wish they drove 12th scale around here.

New 12th scale Body
Dale,
What can we expect straight line & cornering from this new body compared to your Speed 12 or the Speed 12B. Equiped with a 17.5 and or 13.5?

In relation to Dale's Speed 12, which is our default body:
* No measurable loss of straight-line speed
* A little more "Cut" going into a corner
* Better Rotation thru and out
* Much better high speed Stability.
Dale really hit a Home Run with this one.
Get one, and do some back-to-back testing. You'll be amazed.
Love the "Gulf" paint job on the photo car!

timmay70;
I think the real question we need to ask you is: why does it say "Tech Master" under your name?
Seriously, the chassis I use as a photo buck is not the latest state-of-the-art chassis. Quite simply, it doesn't need to be just to hold a body in place. Here's a pic of the axle.
