I bet if Blackstock or Paulie drove flat punched for a full five minutes they could dump too. We still don't have infinite runtime. Or it coulda been a speedo, a burnt brush, etc. etc. It's not always the batteries fault.

Well, even if his batteries didn't dump, he would have still ended up in second place anyway. Dump or not, in this situation, didn't matter.

The layout was very demanding on the batteries. There were alot of places that you had to accelerate out of a corner. There was alot of dumping in Mod and alot of soft batteries in 19T. Blackstock pulled off in one qualifier with 35-40 seconds to go. If you got behind and were trying to catch up it was gonna be hard to make run time.

About the layout. It was challenging and tight but very easy on parts. I saw very little breakage all weekend. The key was to use the corners to keep the cars at a reasonable pace instead of the superspeedways we see at alot of the major races. Great time and as always a great job by Scotty and the Trackside crew.

I dunno about the other two classes.
Bobby Flack drives for Putnam Pro-pulsions not Fantom. And Paulie drivers for Novak not LRP.

OVA,
i was running my R2 this weekend at Trackside...i managed to take 1st in the B main for stock rubber...i was traction rolling the first three qualifiers so i didnt really get a good qualifier in till i found out that everyone was putting glue on the outside edges of their tires so they didnt traction roll...so i had one chance to make the A like that and fell about 1/2 second short...if only i would known sooner about the glue trick i coulda actually have had a somewhat ok setup

i think i only saw 1 R2 in the tech line... didnt see the name, but it was painted maybe white/pink in front, to a kind of gold on back. prolly you in the stock b main... the chassis i was running is an original Evo3 with square centerposts, S type camber mounts and a Kai chassis set. pic was in Nexus's stuff... i was happily surprised at all the Evo's i saw in the pits. had a fantastic time, and look forward to next year!! gotta practice on the Minis... what a hoot!

Yeah, the glue helped a ton. I actually cut back on the glue for my last heat & main, but still had it up on the face of the tire.
