what pinion and spur gear would work on the VM2 if im running a 21.5t.

im gonna be running this outdoors which means going to be hot
thats why on my tc6.1 im running a 96 spur and a 46 pinion?

im still faily new to on road and i have a 4.2:1 on my tc6.1

how can i accomplish something similar on my VM2

Thank you

50 to 52 pinion and 76 to 80 spur! Thats what I used with 21.5 as well and outdoors!

The rubber compound hardness is measured in shore. The harder rubber compound, the higher number/shore. Generally, you use harder compounds on warmer tracks, so among your examples, 28 is the softest compound that will work best on colder tracks/days. The 36R is the hardest, and would last longer and probably also be faster on a really hot track.

Some tires come with directions, letting you know in which temperature range a given shore would be optimal, but the best way is really to check what people use at your local track.

On our outdoor high traction track running 13.5T, I use 24-28R on very cold days, 32-36 on most days, and 36-40 on the warmest days. Don't have any temperature ranges to give you, but if my tires start screaming after a few laps, they're essentially telling me to switch to a harder compound

We just used Team powers 36 mini tires that were pre glued and ready to run! No problems with traction issues except maybe to much traction at times. then it comes down to tire traction additive weather to use or not.

So these cars are out of stock everywhere again. What's a good alternative to take my lumps as a newbie in nor cal mini racing?

Have you contacted the guys at EGR Mart? They are pretty responsive and will let you know when they will be packaging/re-kitting more kits to sell. Either that or they will come out with a new variant of the VM2. Another good alternative is the ABC Genetic.

Daniel Z. is local to Norcal and he is selling his VM2 by the way... (Josh's old car....which won a ton of races!)

Wait, What!!! He thought it would be a walk in the park. He didn't think there would be any competition until Dan stepped into the ring!

Dan H has a quick mini!

Actually, I'm selling a whole bunch of my R/C stuff. Scaling back my involvement in the hobby, my focus is needed elsewhere (school mainly)

Who needs sckool! Man, I thought it was going to be a dog fight between you two this year. Now you practically handed him the title!

Man, I ain't no pretty boy, I'd rather bank on my brains than my looks! An education in the classrooms will get me farther than education on the race track

I had prior obligations on the 4th and the 18th, (5th scale) so he would have won the series regardless

I got 4th place last race! Too much traction roll, haha.

Not sure what you guys are talking about but the title is still up for grabs! Willie's VM2 is pretty fast too.

Finally finished my Atomic VM-II lipo edition

i thought i'd share some pics. Got the porsche body from my cup racer.
which is now going to be a shelf body... HPI mx60 tires are just not the best in racing.

After putting the Sedan Pro Body and wheel on this, i must say. It was a night and day difference in performance... not scale look and as pretty but function is unreal.

Parts List:

Atomic Vm2 Lipo
Atomic Vm2 swap bar upgrade
Tamiya Body height adjuster
LRP flow Esc
Novak 25.5 Ballistic
Reedy 5500 60c lipo
Savox low profile servo
Honda Accord 210mm Touring Body
Ride Mini Dish wheels and Tires

thanks for looking
