I have a few Trinity packs the have those Tamiya type connectors. I use it for my starter box in gas racing so if they false peak it doesnt really matter. I have found that sometimes if there is a poor connection in the plug or if you use alligator clips when you charge your charger can false peak.

Try another plug on the connections and see how that goes.
