Carl...Come and see me at the track tonight! I'll get you all set!

CSeils 02-13-2007 10:47 AM

I just want to make sure I'm going in the right direction. I think i've been doing the opposite, which would explain why I can't turn at high speeds.

I can't get out until the TCS race.

sent pm with directions lol

Can anyone tell me the part numbers for the short one-way drive cups for the electric TC3 diff? I seem to have gotten my hands on a NTC3 one-way and they aren't the same drive cups. I need to convert for my dirt oval late model, and I can't find them anywhere...

Anyone?

:(

TC3 pdf manual is available from the Associated site.

I did not get one with the used TC3 I got, so I downloaded it.

Can never go wrong with Associated. TC4 did not blow anyone away, but I think thats because after so many years of the TC3 people were looking for more... more or different. TC5 might not be out of this world different for everyone else.. but Associated people will buy it up.

And the part numbers for the electric one-way drive cups are NOT in the PDF that I have... which is why I asked.

Anyone want to trade a nitro one-way (new) for an electric one-way? :rolleyes:

So you want the electric one?

We got the wrong ones to for dirt oval and if you get the 200mm conversion the Nitro one-way works good with the standard CVDs.

AS1707 = NTC3 ONE-WAY OUTDRIVE CUPS
AS1730 = NTC3 ONE-WAY OUTDRIVE CUP
AS1766 (this confused me as its on the TC3 page) B4/T4/GT LIGHTWEIGHT OUTDRIVE SET

hope this helps a bit :)

Yeah, I want the electric one-way instead of what I have. I like the car at 190mm, though. Body is painted, parts are easy to find if you break them, and it could be easily run on a carpet road course in about 45 minutes if wanted.

Actually, now that I look at those, those numbers are the nitro (NTC3) cups which are on the one-way that I have right now. They sit too far outboard of the diff and don't work with the electric CVDs. I think the last part on that list is the diff halves for the off road trannies.

Bikerbob 02-15-2007 08:21 PM

What about the XL parts listing for the TC3 on the Associated site?

Is it listed in there?

purpurite 02-16-2007 09:21 AM

Nope, not in the Excel files for the TC3 or TC4, either. I'm beginning to think that they don't sell these outdrive cups individually. :( Lesson learned.

When you find online ads, hobby shop know-it-alls and eBay auctions stating that the one way is a universal part for both TC3 and NTC3, they are WRONG! The internal housing is the same, as is the ring gear (parts they sell on their own), but the parts that differentiate the one-ways are only found in their individual complete one-way packages. Blech.

I hope someone can prove me wrong.

Offer is still good if anyone would like a nitro one-way in trade for an electric HD version.

Bikerbob 02-16-2007 12:05 PM

Did you fire AE off an email just to confirm your suspenision that you cannot buy these parts separately??

I find their response time very good to emails.

roadrashracing2 07-14-2007 11:55 AM

I going back to running a tc3 and I am looking for a rubber tire indoor mid-high traction setup.

roadrashracing2 07-15-2007 12:34 PM
