every time i take a turn the inside rear wheel lifts of the ground i tryed all kinds of sway bars but they dont seem to be working. ive tryed every spring i got and oil but it leads back to the say bar, is there a trick to them??

PaZ 11-21-2005 10:07 AM

mine did that under hard turning and it was cause the shocks oils wernt quite equal with the other side when i did that it was fine thats all i can think of. have you got the small screws with washers on that hold the sway bar to the diff case? if so make sure there not to tight or loose but can move freely

uite possibly, what effect would this have on my bearings?

Do you have the spacers between the bearings?

well if you tighten the wheel nut too tight , you can bend the rim into the hex nut and then that could rub against the bearing , and/or have the pin bent inward against the bearing . causing it too fail

thekid22,

What does your car do when the inside rear comes off the ground? What are you running for springs, shock oil, droop?

thekid22 11-21-2005 09:52 PM

it diffs out. and i lose all turning speed so it would whip around.

i got 45 wt in front and 30 in rear

i had with copper in rear i had white, purple, copper. red, white.
i tryed every differint combo. i dont have a droop gage so i dont know

graphiteman 11-21-2005 11:27 PM

Droop is part of the problem, as is the spring setting (stiffness) in the rear. Does your car spin out in both directions when it diffs-out? Not knowing where the droop is makes it difficult. If you have a droop setting of 3 on the left rear, and 4 on the right rear, your car will probably diff-out turning right. One of the Associated plastic droop guages are inexpensive, and very helpful in getting your car set up properly. How do you check for tweak on your car.... just curious?

thekid22 11-22-2005 05:19 AM

the car sets as level as i can see. it will diff out evenly both turns.when the car sat low were i would wont it there was not enuff presser on the rear to make it tuch the track and stop the diff. what do u mean by tweak like one side lower than the other.

JWATT 11-22-2005 05:43 AM

Put the car on a flat surface, put an exacto in the EXACT center of the car and lift it up. Both tires should lift away at the same time. If one tire is off the surface and one is touching, then it is tweaked. Buy or borrow an AE droop gauge and go to AE's site and learn how to use it to set the car to the recommended droop.

the car lifts up even.iam gona get a gauge today.

I have a BMI TC3 with super nitro rims & tires. Slick on the front, and tread on the rear. I’m running lipo with 19 turns. When I go full speed, the car will go straight, and all the sudden it decide to turn and flip, or spin out. I have a AM Futaba Radio with GM V4 ESC.

anthony390 11-22-2005 04:51 PM

ummm sorry for my stupidity

but WHAT IS LIPO

THANKS
