Default TC3 Shocks?

Does anyone know any alternative threaded shocks for the TC3 if i dont wanna use the Factory Team ones? I heard Tamiya TRF shocks work well, is this true?

What would be wrong with the associated ones? The only problem I have had is bleeding which is easy to fix wit the yokomo shock caps.

I read an article somewhere that the Tamiya's were possibly the best shocks.

I ditched the AE ones that came w/ my TC4 and I used the TRF Flourine coated shocks.

Do you know if the blue and red conversions have the same resistance to flex that the black has? This question comes from exp. with the colored carbon fiber chassis vs. the black carbon fiber for the Xray M18s. BIG diff. in stiffness between black and the colors.

There is a difference between the stiffness of colored carbon fiber compared to plain black, because of the outer layer of colored CF being fiberglass.......It's very noticable in component grade, cheap Carbon Fiber like most R/C companys use........and almost undetectable in high quality carbon fiber thats been made by laying the fibers in 3 directions like the material BMI uses.......

Arrow Joe B

You seem to know a bit about the BMI chassis... is the difference between the color and black woven carbon fiber noticably different?. You mentioned that "quality" carbon fiber work the flex is minimal, still true with BMI's colored chassis, or is it just "the nature of the beast" when dealing with colors?
