I may just look into those diff cases as I think mine are stripped in places.

Try putting the shummmacker axsis 2 batterie straps on one underneath the foam and one on top they fit perfect over the body posts. It also lifts the foam off the bumper by a couple of mill so the foam takes the impact and not the plastic. Carbon ones look cool too.

I have seen it, but I have not ordered yet. Looks much better than the BMI ones I just purchased. If you can see it, the plastic goes down from the tranny case. That is trick. The BMI just go straight so you have to add some spacers or foam so it keeps the bumper down.

I got a problem. I raced today and i couldnt figure out how to fix this problem. The car would push making a left turn but would have no rear traction when i turned right and the car would instantly slide out. Any ideas?? if u need any more info on setup just ask

Could use some advice. I'm a carpet guy. I do pretty well on it. But asphalt and rubber tires are a different story. So I'm hoping you guys can give me some pointers with my setup.

Here's the deal:
Track is smooth, recently paved, well groomed asphalt, large, sweeping fast turns, maybe 75 degrees outside, 110 track temp.

TC3 factory team, I'm using the Barry Baker setup from the Reedy Race in 2003. Without the spool or sway bars. I'm running Takeoff CS27 tires (practicing for some handout races, so I need to get it to work with these tires)

Did a few packs, car was pushing pretty bad. Both low and high speed.

I move the shocks out in the rear end to stiffen it up a bit. That helped it rotate better.

Did another pack, still not great.

I put a rear sway bar on. This helped it rotate pretty well, but it still had a high speed push.

I put a spool in it. LOTS of rotation, too much for me, but a bad low speed push (I need to learn to drive with a spool)

So, I want to get it setup w/o the spool, but need to keep it from pushing. Any pointers? Do you think this is a driving technique issue? Do you guys run drag brake?

Any and all pointers will be appreciated!

I am thinking of going with 64 pitch gears, what is a good spur gear size to go with ? Right now my stock 48 pitch gearing range is between 27 and 32 tooth pinions.

75 = 100
72 = 96
67.5 = 90
27 = 36
28 = 37.3 associated reccomends for stock on a 72 = 96
32 = 42

most people run stock on a 96 I run a 90 64 pitch tooth on my tc3 and it
seems to get a good range from 27 to 35 for 19turn
90/27=3.33
72/27=2.66
90/35=2.57
72/32=2.25
90/40=2.25
but I have been known to run it with a 38 on a 19turn but it came off real real hot stock is not as bad at that gearing. If you talk to several people they'll probably tell you to go with a 100 for the rotating mass but I think that the difference isn't noticable enough for club racing. I also figure I can't get a big enough pinion on a 100 and run the smaller gear. don't run stock so I can't completely help on that but it depends on the roll out for what gears to use also unless your running rubber. I run foams at my local track.

Yeah, I run a 96T spur and never go over a 40T pinion in stock.
