i think he meant trees...

anyway, nice english...use a spell checker...

anyway, he's obviously got some agenda to post here and not on the yok forum, so, smile, and he'll go away.

let's get back to the deal at hand....

Default hey tony

will you be a the fall classic?
what oil wt range should i use with the purple and red springs. all spring / oil wts for that matter. i'm guessing 40 would be too thin for the white springs and 90 would be too thick for the silvers. other than the extremes, i don't know what to use.

i guess you won't be there considering it's this weekend.
the race is at hobby central. i think that's the shop in poway close to where the hitec race race. if not, it's the shop in san marcos.

anyways right now i'm just looking for oil wts and corresponding spring rates. i will be bouncing between running on carpet, in a smooth parking lot, and so-cal.

Tony > Ya i was a little pissed, especially what he said about the bombings. That is un called for. Hopefully TSR6 will ban him. We dont need that here.

Johhny > For carpet you want to go pretty stiff. When we had the carpet track here in Riverside, i believe i had yellows in front with golds in the rear. But i am not positive. Had the camber up and outer for front and rear. had the shocks all the way down in the rear, and in the middle in the front. Dont remember for sure, long time ago. I believe there is a basic carpet set-up on Tonys site.

So where is everyone racing this weekend? SoCal for me on Saturday, you going Tony?

ya, i'll be at socal saturday

carpet- pretty stiff. a bit heavier oil, also. carpet makes the car react VERY fast, so, you want to slow it down a bit (reaction of the car)

socal- people run alot of different setups at socal, some stiff, some much lighter. i always tell people to start with the standard worlds setup. it works good and gets your car in the ballpark for the setup. then just adjust from there.

outdoor- actually, i rarely change anything but the tires to start with. find a tire that works good, and fine tune the suspension to work. i've found that sorex 36r seem to work at socal AND outdoor. at the hitec race i merely changed to 36r and a minor rear spring change. car was pretty good.

if you run at socal, you can keep the same oils for outdoor. changing oils is a pain in the ass, and, that's usually a last ditch effort for me for club races. generally, bumpy track, lighter oil.
