Sorry if this was asked before but does anyone know if you can use a voltage booster to run 1s lipos on the Reventon S?

has been gone a few years from racing and wondering if this is a good combo to start with? Know that this is the old motor , but it worked very nicely when I raced with it before . Is it still competitive? Worth the combo price?

That's a different speed controller.

I've purchased $1000's of dollars worth of stuff from RCMart and not had a single issue with them.

I've had both. I found the 1.1 to be much smoother.

Can anyone give me some hints to squeeze more power out of my SP 21.5 and Reventon R. I'm running it in blinky touring cars with a very similar fdr as the other cars but it just lacks power and brakes. I've tried maximum timing but it's still getting overtaken on the straight and the same cars also have more punch out of the slow corners. It's brakes are also terrible. Have to brake a lot earlier for the corners and even then it just stops gently. Braking is set to 100%. Another guy at the club said SP brakes are rubbish and he switched brands because of it. Am I doing something wrong? I'm in the blinky class as the racing is supposed to be even but I see to be at a disadvantage.

Brakes on my reventon work great , I would try to recalibrate your transmitter to the esc after changing its settings, Ive never used a SP motor , sorry.

tbrymer 08-29-2015 08:04 AM

Brakes on my reventon pro 1.1 work great. DR on my brakes are at 58%, with a 17.5T D4 motor (12.5 rotor), and it stops quickly.

Put a +40 sensor unit in my SP motor ..WOW, -my motor really came to life. Glad I asked about the sensor units, ..had I not I would have been really disappointed w/ what seemed like an anemic motor.

Tc460mph 09-02-2015 05:43 PM

+40 is timing right? What cells are you running?

eR1c 09-02-2015 06:04 PM

Yes,the 40+ timing is a sensor unit made by SP.
This is a 21.5t motor, the "MMM" series. I am running a 2 cell shorty pack, 100c 4600 mah in a tamiya m05v2. The esc is a SP, its the stock club esc.

Tc460mph 09-03-2015 01:47 AM

I don't think I can add any timing right now because my motor gets up to around 160 degrees and I'm running a 4s 2700mah.
