I am having a problem with my Reventon Pro 1.0. I don't know why but I seem to have lost Blinky mode. I hooked the program box up and tried resetting it, but I still have no blinky led's. I also tried resetting my end points thinking it may be a neutral issue. Any help to get me back into blinky would be much appreciated.

competiton V3 13.5 and a 40 degree timing ring.
I just got a 13.5 V3 Competition and I am running in the Spec class. I went ahead and bought a 40 degree timing ring. I set it to neutral in the center figuring that it would be about 20 degrees, when I drove the car the first time with the same gearing as the 10 degree ring maxed out the motor went hot after 4 laps I was at 150. I did not have time to try and figure out the gearing so I just moved the ring to where I thought 10 degrees would be and the same thing happened. Is there something I am doing wrong or is this ring set at 40 degrees advanced no matter where you put it?

Sorry if this has been asked before bit is the SP MMM 21.5 worth the extra $20 over the standard 21.5 3.0? Do they have much top end?
Thanks. |
Double post.. :weird:

Sorry looking for a quick answer and didn't find it. How does one reverse the motor direction? Like in the case you are running mid motor car and need the motor to spin the opposite direction for forward?

Swap the motor cables over (assuming its a 3 cable brush less motor) or use the reverse throttle function on the radio.
normally a RM 3 gear car that can do MM has a extra gear added to make 4 gear, in a 3 gear MM car the motor is on the other side http://www.team-durango.com/blog/201...onfigurations/ |
Hey guys i need a little bit of help for my 2wd buggy. I am running the Reventon S with 17.5v3 and my top end seems to flatten on the end of the straight and other cars blow by me. It is a medium sized indoor track. I have the punch on #4 and it's geared at 76/33 coming off at 130deg after a 6 min run. I havent maxed my 10deg endebell timing because i dont know how to move it

Then i Always push on those screws wich loosens the rear plate and this will makes sure you can move the sensorplate to it's maximum. Hope this helps |
I got the chance of using a motorchecker from another club member so i've been busy to test my V3 motors with some other sensorplates, i've got them up to 40° (black, red, green&yellow)
The difference in KV& max RPM is significant. I've been testing 3 types of motors, 21.5T, 17.5T & 13.5T. The 21.5T motor with 0° has a KV/max RPM of 1649/14518 up to 3298/25728 with 35° motortiming. The 17.5T motor with 0° has a KV/max RPM of 2161/18807 up to 4121/32556 with 35° motortiming. The 13.5T motor with 0° has a KV/max RPM of 2799/24359 up to 4110/32882 with 30° motortiming. (i still need to replace the 30°+ sensorplate in the 13.5T motor to get some results) So far i haven't been able to test the motors with 40° motortiming cause the motorchecker always failed, not sure why it doens't go. I also noticed that there isn't a big difference between 0° -> 20° motortiming, it really starts of at 25° motortiming. The KV/max RPM then increases significantly |

You need to loosen up the 3 screws that are bolted in at the front plate, about 1.5 turns should be enough.

V4 spec motors are now in stock and available!
http://shop.speedpowerrc.com/competition-v4-0/ http://cdn2.bigcommerce.com/server46...0.1280.JPG?c=2 We've had a lot of our top spec drivers testing them in 17.5 2wd buggy, shortcourse, 13.5 wheeler, USGT, TC, and all the other spec classes. Everyone has given positive feedback and noted they run faster with less heat than other motors they were running. |
