Yes you can shorten them and in my opinion you really should shorten them.

I am looking into picking up the new revention r pro or the revention r. I primarily will be running 17.5 blinky but on occasion will run a 13.5 or mod. How do you calculate the current limitations?

im really in 2 minds about getting one of the Reventon R's

seems alot of people are having issues, but is this purely down to people not reading the manual properly regarding hooking it up to the computer?

any advice from people whos units are actually working correctly?

I am using Rev R with 13.5 mmm motor and boosed, i bought them with V18 mod software and i upgraded it to V19. The only problem i see is that it hard to use my led card to chage parameters since i dont know which items no. Is for what. So i have to carried my laptop to track to do setting evertime. And anoyher concern is that i ran 13.5t with 50% boose and 120k ending rpm. My mmm motor temp went up to 65c and esc temp was around 52c. Was it considered too hot for speed passion? (I ran at night only with 28c outside temp)

My program box had a tray at the bottom of it that would slide out to tell you what the corresponding numbers meant.

So far I really like the Reventon R, only thing I dislike is the brakes are a little weak, but I also run stock 0 V18 mode in usgt and it really is not too big of a deal. Make sure when hooking the program box up the pc to program the esc that you disconnect the fan on top of the esc and the battery.

For those who have ran 1S using a GT2.0 Pro or similar ESC, have you noticed that the brakes don't seem to be very strong?

Using the blinky software with a futaba PL radio. Motor is a 1 Cell 17.5 Competition . had brake set initially at 75%, went to 100% but feel it needs more.

Should I reset the radio to the speedo when making that parameter change?

for me, the brake for rev R is too strong...I have to set brake on esc at 50% and on my 4PL at 75%

Set your reverse strength to 75% and brake strength to 100%. In the 2.1EX the two are tied together even though reverse is disabled and I'd assume the GT2.0 is the same way.

Thanks, didn't know that! Does a higher reverse strength setting than the 75% affect it too?

Yes, but I can just about lock up the tires on the my WGT with 75% so I'm not sure any more would be needed. They also work very well at low speeds, which is what most ESC's I've used have had major issues with. By low speeds, I'm talking about rolling up to your starting spot.

good day SP,

I have a question regard with my BLcombo, im using REVENTON S esc and SPEED PASSION COMPETITION 3.0 13.5T

i have hesitation with the motor, its my 1st time to use Speed passion with my elec.
my question is when im running with sensor wire the motor is making sound just like a whistle, but i dont see any problem with the motor performance,
but when im running without the sensor wire there is no whistle sound, is it normal when im running with sensor wire?

by the way my esc settings is default setting according to esc manual,

and i also connected all wiring connection properly.

thank you.

I actually noticed the whistling with one of my motors a while back,it turned out to be a shot bearing,so I replaced the bearing and no more whistling, but, your sensor wire thing has me stumped.
Try oiling the bearings and see if that helps, and the only thing I can think of without the sensor wire connected, the motor wouldn't be as fast, thus no whistle from the alleged bearing?
Hope this helps.
